Ava Halstead just came back from 2 years as a Marine and is going to firehouse 51 on squad 3 but isn't on the best terms with her brothers because of them not wanting her to be a Marine but she didn't care, she's a lot more like her twin brother Jay...
You wake up and turn around to see gallo next to you still asleep
" hi" you slightly mumble with a smile " hi" he smiles not even opening his eyes " we have to get up for work" you say and he slightly opens his eye " ok" he says and you smile " ok come on" you say and get up " fine" he says getting up to
You both get ready for the day, you go downstairs to wait for him
You make yourself a fruit smoothie
He hugs you slightly before kissing your cheek " morning" he says " Morning, you want some" you smile putting some of it in a cup " no I'm good" he says putting a few things in his bag
" come on let's go" you say and you both go out the door and you lock it
After checking it a few times making sure it was locked " hey it's lock, come on no one can get in" gallo calls from the car and you slightly nod
Ever since severide and Stella's honey moon cabin got broken in to by the guys that where after both you and severide, even though they've been caught you've still been worried that they might come back
You both get to work and put your things in the locker room before going to the kitchen
" hey any news" you ask severide " no not really, just waiting for court" he says and you slightly smile before making pancakes for a few people
After you finish up eating and everything there's a meeting so you go in the room with everyone else
Boden soon walks in with a man who looked like a firefighter but you hadn't see in before
"Ok I would like for you all to meet Sam Carver" chief says before explaining one of his fires where he saves a man " and I knew he was the right one for truck" chief says and then you all go to great him
" hey, Ava Halstead nice to meet you and welcome" you say and he gives you a bright smile " nice to meet you" he says then you both get a call so you run out the squad and you all leave to the fire
You guys get there to see it's a weddings fire at a outdoor reception
You guys go in quickly to try to get all the victims out
" cfd call out" you yell and you hear a faint movement so you call over gallo
" hey help me with this" you say as you find the victim with a peace of wood slightly over him keeping him down
You both get it out with a bit of work but you guys lift him out in only a minute or two
When you guys get out you find out gallo had saved two kids begging going back in to you
" hey nice work" you smile brightly at him before you guys pack up and leave
It was now end of shift and you end up going home and just get dressed before going to Mollys

" hey" you say at the bar at Mollys talking to herrmann " can I please have a Long Island iced tea and whatever gallos having" you smile and pay with your card then he starts your drinks
" hey" you say walking up to a few people including gallo so you hand him his drink
" Halstead lovely seeing you" carver says and you slightly nod " great work today, I think you'll fit right in at 51" you say with a small smile before sitting next to gallo taking a sip from your drink
" how are you" gallo says after a few minutes turning to you " pretty good" you smile and give him a small kiss " I'm tired" you say laying your head on his shoulder " we'll go home soon" he says putting his hand around resting it on your shoulder " hey you know, we haven't technically moved in together yet" he says and you turn to him " oh my god, you still have that apartment" you say and he slightly nods laughing " well that's dumb cos you always are at mine" you say and he nods " but I don't really just want to move into your apartment like I want us to get one together" he says and you slightly nod for him to continue
" like we're getting married and hopefully some day having a baby so maybe you buy an apartment or even a house" he says and you nod " so what you think" he asks " let's do it" you smile lightly and kiss him again
" hey herrmann, you're going to head out" you say and gallo wrapps his hand around you before the both of you walk out and you guys end up walking home because it was only 15 minutes away
" ok so you get the energy drinks and I'll get the computer and paper" you say walking in the door and throwing your keys on the counter " what" gallo asks " house hunting" you smile and turn around and he slightly laughs " really"he asks with a smile and you nod " now there are energy drinks in the fridge" you yell running up the stairs to put on something comfortable and to get your computer

You run downstairs again and gallo was sat on the couch with a beer and an energy drink for you
" ok let's do this" you say and he smiles as you open the computer " houses or apartment" you ask and he smiles " houses" he says and you nod before looking up a few places around
You cuddle in to gallo and the both of you look through the houses
You guys end up finding a few nice houses and you guys will get to see them next week
" so you ready to go to sleep now" he smiles hugging you and you slightly nod and the both of you go to sleep for the night
