" you ready for shift" you smile as you walk down stairs to Blake, this was going to be your first shift after the wedding but you last in till after the baby but you're going to be working with arson in till then

" yeah, let's go" he says wrapping his hand around your shoulders walking out to the car.
You were slightly showing but honestly you just looked blotted the whole time but still it was a baby, 6 weeks and morning sickness has started in the few days you guys have been off which has been fun

" so we'll tell them now or at the end of shift" he asks "well if they don't figure it out when I run to the bathroom after eating we'll tell them late enough on the day" you smile making him nod

" ok let's go" he says getting out and grabbing both our bags, " hi" you guys walk in to the kitchen to find everyone eating breakfast,
"Hello, good to have you guys back" chief smiles as you guys get other hello's

" grab me a plate, I'll take our bags to the locker" you say taking the bags from him as he nods

" Hey" Stella says as you walk in to the locker room " hey how are you" I smile hugging her
" good, I've missed you" she smiles before closing her locker " praying for a quiet shift" she says crossing her fingers " yeah me too" I smile as she walks out

" what we got" I smile sitting at the table in between Blake and Cruz " eggs and bacon" Cruz answer stuffing his face " come down there Cruz" I laugh patting his back before taking a bite

" hey Halstead, wait or is it Gallo" severide asks and Blake immediately looks over " um Halstead-Gallo but Hastened for no confusion" you smile making them both nod " anyway finish up then head out side ima start some drills" he says making you nod " I'll be out in sec" you say before standing up with your plate
" hey you didn't even finish half of it" Blake comes behind me " hey I'm good, ill make something later" I smile patting his shoulder before kissing his cheek

" hey severide, if I would've know you were going to do this today I'm gonna be honest with ya I wouldn't have come in" you say before collapsing on to the apparatus floor. " Halstead I think this is better then siting at the squad table" severide laughs " ok well I want to see you try to drag Capp and Cruz from one end to the other with a damn black out mask" you sigh making him laugh again before putting out his hand to help you up, both Capp and cruz looking at you like you had killed their dog

" what you both are a hell of a lot heavier then me" you say, " alright settle down, Tony your up" he says and you and Cruz Lie down cos he had to do the drill with you guys

" severide mind if I steal her for a sec" gallo comes out and you immediately jump up
" yeah you can" you smile before walking with him not even letting severide answer

" what's up" you ask as he pulls you aside
" I say tell them now" he says making your eyes widen " really right now, why" you ask " cos I've already kinda told Ritter and he's kinda freaking out" he smiles " ok, just give us 5 to finish this drill" you smile and start walking
" oh and by the way I'm not going to let you telling side" you turn back raising your eyebrows before walking out again

" sorry Lieutenant, how'd you do Capp" you smile and severide nods " bet you by 2.3 seconds" he smiles " wow good on you" you say sarcastically " anyway guys could we all meet in the meeting room, kinda got an announcement to make" you smile as they all nod " better be good" severide smiles walking past you messing with your hair " it is" you smile

" ok everyone wait here" you say to everyone who was waiting cos you guys had to tell chief first, " hey chief could be steal you for a sec" you and gallo walk in to his office " of course" he says putting the papers he was working on away " so I... well we just wanted to tell you first that I'll be moving to arson starting next first" you say but couldn't continue your smile,
" are you" he says with a raised eyebrow and both you and Blake couldn't hold you laughter

" yeah chief, only 6 weeks so still early on but just can't be to carful" you say as he gets up from his chair " oh guys, that's the best news I've heard all week" he smiles before bro hugging gallo " this is amazing" he says looking down at your stomach and hugging you,

" ok well anyway chief we got everyone waiting for us and you know how they get especially when they're hungry" gallo says and chief nods as we walk off " you coming with" you smile seeing he was coming behind us " yeah, think I'd miss their faces" he smiles

" ok, we have an announcement" you smile looking at everyone sitting in front of us
" you're pregnant" Stella laughs followed by lots of " I called it"

" guys" gallo says loud enough to get them to settle down " alright sorry, what's the announcement" Stella laughs as they all go quiet again as gallo scratches the back of his head " yeah she is pregnant" he smiles and they all get quiet " are you joking" herrmann says but we smile shaking our heads "oh my god guys" Stella says immediately diving in to a hug
" ok but did I not call it" she laughs as everyone else comes hugging both of us

" great news" severide says " thanks" we both smile. " oh and this is my last shift in till after the baby so I'll be moving to arson for a few months" you say and they all quiet down again
" don't worry I'll visit," you smile making them nod " you better" Violet speaks up and everyone turns to the kitchen as the over dings
" That's dinner" Blake says going in with everyone fallowing

" hey, Ava" Hermann stops you before you get in the kitchen " being a parent is the best thing you'll ever do," he smiles making you nod " I know this is meant to be a cute moment but you should know Hermann after 6" you smile
" it's 5" he says shaking his head " love you Hermann, and I know I can't wait" you smile getting your dinner
