His strides were longer than mine.
He took 2 steps. I took 4.
I used to imagine that he would always slow down for me but I was wrong.
Legs cant become shorter.
While he was entering the library we always went to, I was still in the cafe holding the door open.
Or maybe I was keeping it from closing.
For someone else to open again.
For him to open the pages of a new book.
