she must be a butterfly

She must be a butterfly.

I tell her her smile is the most divine thing I've ever seen, it reminds me of the crash before the wave, it swells and seems never ending before cascading into a symphony and building once again.

Her cheeks turn the most wonderful shade of crimson as she softly thanks me.

But does she think that her laughter rings like the bells that signal the end of time?

They certainly signal the end of me, but I would die a thousand times just to hear my ending call, her beautiful laughter.

The freckles are like stars across the galaxy, infinite, but for her I would count every single one over and over until they burn out.

Her eyes, I could get lost in.

I pity her, only because she cannot drown in the sea of her own beauty.

She deprives me of oxygen, my lungs become dry and I heave for breath, but yet I still thank her.

How can I not?

She must be a butterfly if she cannot see what I see.
