꧁꧂

Maybe if I hadn't loved too hard
The skies wouldn't have cried
Happiness wouldn't have subside
They would've stayed behind
And I wouldn't have to hide

Maybe if I was wise enough
I wouldn't have had a broken heart
Alas, I've seen it all from the start
Never been keen, never been smart
Have failed to see my own as art

Maybe if I was stronger
This path would've been better
I'd bring a name, people would wonder
These knees wouldn't falter
And I'd march on like a title holder

But maybe if I love and just love
Be true as ordered from above
Let my hopes soar like a brave dove
And remember what da told:
What's to be will be; to fit like a glove

Maybe if I grasp what I know
Let my wit be the first to go
And I should — should be the wise one
To know that I need not to blow
And just thrive to know and grow

Maybe if I sing an old song
It might tell me what took me so long
To find my truths and thus go on
And finally prove myself wrong
That I can love and still stand strong
