Khan house:

It's been A week since Eda was in Islamabad with her family. And her parents were noticing her every little act. The changes in her behaviour, personality, language. The other day Alia saw eda video calling her friends where there were girls and boys in the video call. She didn't like it but didn't say anything.

They did sent Eda to study abroad on her requests and stubbornness but still they belong to a very reputed and conservative family.

"I'm telling you Ejaz, your daughter is no more Pakistani, she's becoming Angrez day by day, it's not good, we can't let her go on wrong path" Alia said with concern.

"I noticed it too, but I trust my daughter, she won't cross her limits" Ejaz said with a firm trust in his voice.

"You never listen to me" Alia scoffed and went to Eda's room to check on her.

"Edaaa, what are you..." She was saying something but stopped looking at eda's hand.

"What's that?" Her mother asked.

"Nothing Ma, didn't I tell you that day that I got a small wound" eda said nervously.

"Show me eda, what are you hiding?" Her Ma said and grabbed her hand and her eyes widened in anger and shock.

"Tattoo?? You got a tattoo?" Alia almost screamed

"Isn't that beautiful ma?" Look it's a star, just like me" Eda said smiling her eyes twinkling like a star.

"That's horrible! How can you do this? Were you in your senses" Alia yelled at her.

"What's horrible in that Ma? I don't understand, you never like anything I do" Eda protested

"Stupid girl, tattoo is forbidden in our religion and you are acting so casually, and about not liking what you do, then yes! I don't like anything you do cuz you're never right." Alia yelled in one go.

"What's the logic behind it elaborate please!" Eda asked in a stubborn tone

"Ablution! The water doesn't reach beneath the skin due to the ink creating a barrier hence your ablution is not completed & your Prayers will be affected! Don't you know this?" Alia explained

"I..I didn't know..but Ma it's so small anyway, & i don't even pray very often so.." Eda said & mentally face palmed herself

"You..you don't pray?" Alia's eyes widened at one more revelation

"N..No..I do but..umm..how do I say? Only on Jummah with Laiba.." Eda stuttered in embarrassment

"What!? You seriously forgot all the values & ethics Eda..My fear came true! America changed you..perhaps your Imaan was weak which changed you" Alia was embarrassed for some reason

"Ma..." Eda was saying but she felt loss of words in embarrassment

"Listen Eda! We are your parents that's why we are responsible for your upbringing & actions. So we have to guide you. But at last...we all have to take care of our own graves...we will guide you at a certain point and then it's you! Only you who have to understand, I'm not gonna go all religious on you cuz I you know the basic things atleast, preach those practices..." Alia said in a disappointed tone & left
