I heard Lucas arrive at the right time. Am I running away from my emotions? Maybe....I didn't want to think on it right now.

" Adrian, please get up. Lucas is here and you need to go." I tried to pull him up but he stubbornly stayed put.

"No. You are planning to leave me and this is not it is supposed to turn out. You need to..to...let me explain and understand"

Before I could reply, Lucas came inside, " Hey Ad, just shut up and lets go. I think you have embarrassed yourself enough for two days. I am really sorry, Tia. He is not usually like this  and I don't know what is wrong with him. I will talk some sense into him "

"It's alright, Lucas. Just please take him away for now. I really need to sleep now." Lucas put Adrian's hand on his shoulder and pulled him up. He struggled but somehow managed to carry him to the car. He dumped him inside and then turned towards me.

" Tia, I know we are not friends. Someday we will be but not today, and maybe never with Rose, but lets ignore that. Ad is one of my best friends and I have known him since we were kids. We have grown up together and he is more of a brother than my own. Please give him a chance. That's all I am gonna say.  Maybe you guys won't work out, but if you do? Why can't you take that leap of faith?"

I was shocked into silence. I was not expecting him to say anything but whatever he said made sense. There was no harm in taking this chance because Adrian sure seems to think that we were going to work out. 

" Thanks Lucas...I am thinking on it and I will surely talk with Adrian tomorrow. I promise you. Just please take care of him tonight and call me when you guys reach safely."

Saying bye, Lucas drove off with him. I stood there for some time, staring till the car was out of sight. I had made up my mind as I was now tired of my self doubt and trust issues. I quietly went inside, had dinner and ended my day with a book. Tomorrow was going to be a lot tiring than today was and I knew I had to face it.

Early next day, I called Lily to handle the cafe for the first half as I planned to go straight to Adrian's office. I had to talk to him straight and work something out. Finishing a quiet and peacefully anxious breakfast, I drove straight to his place. I took a bunch of cinnamon buns from the cafe on my way to him.

As soon as I reached the reception, I asked to meet him. The girl there was very polite but very gently she denied my request, which was pretty obvious. Before I could think of what to do next, I saw Lucas walking towards me. "Thank God you are here!! I was just going to call Adrian but I wanted to surprise him."

"Hey Tia, nice to see you and yes I am good too. I had a good start to my day and am really surprised to see you here"

"Sorry Luc," Me calling him Luc surprised him as I could see from the slight raise of his brows, " I am really anxious and forgot my manners. Its really good to see you " 

Lucas laughed out loud,"Hey chill, I was just kidding. Just go meet him, he is on the 5th floor , turn right after coming out of the life and then go straight to his office." Turning towards the receptionist, he continued "Jules, just inform Alicia that Ms. Tiara is coming to meet Adrian"

I followed his instructions and reached in front of his cabin. Before I could enter, Alicia( Adrian's assistant) stop me from going inside. Suddenly there was a loud crash and someone shouted loudly. I recognized that voice as Luna's.
