Ace wouldn't tell me what he did to Mr. Dean. I'm thinking he killed him. But he wouldn't do that. Would he?

Ace put his car in park and hopped out.

Since I was in the backseat holding Abby I opened the back door.

Abby was still softly crying on me.

"Come on." I pulled her.

Ace left the front door open for us to enter .

When we walked in, Ace was getting ice from the freezer.

"Here." He handed the ice to Abby. She put it on her face.

"There are 5 guest rooms upstairs. Pick one. Goodnight." He told us as he walked up the stairs.

"Well I guess we're gonna stay here tonight."

My nose instantly smelled pancakes and grits with bacon.

Before going downstairs I went into my bathroom that was connected to my room. A nigga had to freshen up.

I brushed my teeth a washed my face. About 10 minutes later I jogged downstairs and saw Lauren at the stove whipping up more pancakes.

"Goodmorning." She said flipping one of them over.

"Mornin'." I said and grabbed a plate.

I took a bite of the pancakes and they were good as hell.

"What kinda' pancakes are these?"

"Oh, blue raspberry. With a little bit of cinnamon in them."

"This shit good as hell." I said taking more bites.

Lauren laughed.

"Where did you find the ingredients."

"You had the blue raspberries in your fridge. And I found the cinnamon in the cabinet."

"I didn't even know I had all that."

"Well you did." Lauren said.

"Thank you." I thanked her for cooking this delicious breakfast.

"Your welcome." She wiped her hands off. "Well me and Abby are gonna head home."

I looked at her. "Nah. I'm not letting you go back there."

She sighed. "Ace. Its fine. I can handle-"

"You can't handle shit." I cut her off.

"Actually I can. That wasn't the first time-" she paused and looked away from me.

"So you saying this bullshit happened before?" I said getting mad. Honestly I don't know why I got mad. I mean I barely know her like that.
