They told me these things were unacceptable.
Teachers were referring to the bullying. Nothing was done. "School is the home away from home, everyone deserves to feel safe." They say this every year, at every bullying seminar, but I see no changes. This is not my home.
My home is my mind. It may be a bit damaged, and it is by no means perfect. But it's warm and cozy. It's safe.
It's the only actual safe place I'll ever have.
The kids, though, they were another story.
"You disgust me," they jeer. "How taboo," they mock. Just why is this taboo? Why is this not acceptable in a world of no discrimination?
The world is a lie. It's just a bunch of high and mighty people who made an image for themselves.
The world is appearances.
Maybe I don't want to make an appearance in it anymore...
