(a/n: some of you might have read that this one is about Ryuuji and Zero coming to the Bradshaw's for dinner. i am actually wondering myself if i should post it or whether i should just revised the whole chapter but i run out of ideas.........*im in a slump* so here it is)
"ummm....Catherine, I don't remember favoring that kind of food" father commented when he saw what I was cooking. it's stir fry which according to uncle demon king is a favorite of Zero
"I was cooking it for someone else"
"eh???? Someone else?"
"yes, Zero will be joining us for dinner"
"Zero? Ichirou did not bring him for their trip?" mother ask when she entered the kitchen.
"no mother"
"then who is looking out for him? Ichirou did not even contacted us"
"he's staying at the Takano's mother"
"what did you said????" i was surprised at the sudden rise of father's voice
"Jirou what's wrong?" father look at mother "is something wrong?" father relaxed and shake his head
"no, nothing's wrong"
"since Zero's staying there who will accompany him tonight?"
"I believe it will be Ryuuji mother" we both turned to our back when something break
"Jirou!!?" Father had this shocked expression and on the floor are the broken pieces of the glass he was just holding.
"I.....i....i'm going to have a meeting with the guards!" he said with a daze expression as he walk out, one of the maids immediately cleaned up the floor while mother and I look at each other in bewilderment. Something is wrong with father today.
"nee-san!!!!" I greeted them at the front door and as I expected he's with Ryuuji
"good-evening"
"ah...y-yes, good evening" I smiled at Ryuuji
"here" he handed me a paper bag and I receive them and somehow the atmosphere feels awkward.
"t-then le...let's wait in the sitting room while dinner is being served" Zero immediately take my hand as I guide them. when we enter the room father and mother are already sitting inside, mother is smiling at me while father is scowling at Ryuuji.
"good evening, uncle, auntie" "
"tsk..." I look at father who seems to be in a bad mood.
"auntie, uncle hello" Zero waved at them "I came to visit nee-san"
"aiya, Zero you've grown up, I last saw you when you're three" mother held her hand and Zero immediately climb on mother's lap
"I will grow bigger then I can marry nee-san!!!" father cough at Zero's words but mother and I just laugh at it while Ryuuji looks the same.
"you can't!!!!" father said vehemently that makes Zero look at him "I mean" father cleared his throat "you're family so you can't marry your nee-san" Zero looks like he's about to cry
