Description:

She is an honorably retired SWAT officer with meritorious deeds and is a dashing detective who solves cases like a god.

One day, a strange golden board with eight divinatory trigrams brings her to a different world, where she is bestowed as a gift to a general's manor.

He is a grim god of war whose power overwhelms six countries and the defender-general of the state with military power in his hands. An imperial edict brought him a delicate concubine. He turned and left. After returning, his second in command and soldiers ignored him. Instead, they kept on saying, "What does madam think?"

When has the general's manor changed its owner?

Solving cases, training soldiers, night attacks, suppressing bandits, street fights, counter-terrorism operations, naval battles - one after another appeared on stage. She played with flourish, yet he was unable to resist even a little.

This book is actually part of a series, but it can be read as a standalone as well.

As the synopsis says, the MC, Gu Yun, is a retired SWAT officer and detective. She and her best friend Zhao Qing found a mysterious artifact that suddenly transmigrated their souls into the bodies of two of three sisters who were on there way to being married off to their respective groom.

While Zhao Qing transmigrates into the body of the girl who is sent to the Prime Minister's manor, Gu Yun gets the body of the youngest sister who is sent to the General's manor. The third sister, who is the only one out of the three original girls who didn't have her soul replaced by a transmigrator, is sent to the palace to be a concubine to the Emperor

Each girl (Zhao Qing, Gu Yun, and the third sister) have their own book in this series and each one is completely translated. Zhao Qing's is more about mysteries and criminal cases, Gu Yun's about military and some wuxia, and the third sister's story is about the imperial harem.

A lot of the plot points cross and connect with each book since the stories are all taking place at the same time, just being told in their own point of view and at different places. Other than this one (Gu Yun's book), I only read some of Zhao Qing's, but it didn't intrigue me as much as this one. Don't let that stop you from reading the other two though, especially if you're into more romance.

The reason this one is my favorite though is because of all the girl power. Even though Gu Yun got stuck in the body of the youngest sister, her character was so strong that she instantly started training herself to be in top shape again, and while she was at it, she decided to torture the soldiers under her command, who looked down upon her, by making them do her modern-day exercises and training routines, too. But really, they eventually saw that she was helping them and grew respectful towards her.

When the Male Lead came back, it got even more hectic, as you can expect.

Read this, guys. It may be little different from what you might be used to, but it's no less good. And the fact that there is a series for this is an entire bonus (the other books in the series are about the next generation, but they aren't fully translated yet).
