Many of you wanted me to recommend a translated novel that was complete, so here it is.
It's been quite a while since I read this one, but I do remember enjoying it. The story is mostly light and humorous despite what the synopsis might lead you to believe.
The Emperor and Empress were married to each other against their will so they initially disliked each other. But as the plot moved forward, he started seeking out her company more often, and from there, the 'special' tension (you know what I'm talking about) started to build.
Expect palace intrigue, fluff and lots of bishes and jealous concubines. But unlike many other imperial harem novels you may have read, this one just has something different about it. I'm not completely sure what it is though. Maybe the humor? Or maybe the fact that the Female Lead is already Empress and doesn't have to fight for the Emperor's affections? (He pretty much falls for her first and shamelessly pursues her afterward)
Read this novel if you're looking for something light and engaging to binge read. There are a 100 chapters in total and a couple of extra ones for side stories.
