Early Eid gift (Barka da Sallah)
Taqabballahu minna wa minkum

The day as is supposed to be comes with alot of happiness and jubilation in the air. It was emanating from everywhere, every person and every single living and non living thing in the environment.
Even those who are not part of the celebrants are happy on their own course. They wore a matching white BYC on its chest is Care for a cellfie?  and on the back UofA class of '21.

So many people gave out coloured permanent marker to those who they know or don't to sign out on their top and in no time almost all the BYC's were mapped out.

Amnah refused allowing anyone to sign on hers as she wouldn't take the chances of not being allowed to write her final exams.

"Hello graduates", Prof Maikano Bellied.

His appearance and his words erupted all sort of noise and emotions in the hall and he allowed the chants to die down before he continue.

"Because you're graduates I've decided to give you questions of your caliber", he did a wicked laugh and the whole hall was chanting no.

"No?! Ain't you graduates? Your graduate questions are a gift from me to you nevertheless some people will still be with us next year, yes is not your portion but that's the ugly truth. Anyways, Enjoy your cookies", he waves and sprinted.

Graduate questions in Biotechnology? Moods are about to be swinged, Amnah thought and with the way energies were channeled at glaming up for the final exams she doubt if there was any concentration on the exams itself.

True to his words, his cookies were a gift after a tough journey of four years turned five. In no time the hall was empty and the party was in full swing when she felt her phone vibrate on her laps, she brought it out of the straight denim trousers she's wearing and it's a message from Aryan.

Let's celebrate your degree over lunch, she felt the side of her lips twitching, what did she do in her past life to deserve this. She must have been some good hearted maiden there.

She waited for him as instructed in front of their faculty and he came in a jet black and tinted sports car that had people's attention glued to it. She's sure they were waiting to see the Yahoo boy that will come out of it to spray mints celebrating his girlfriend's final exams if at all it is, but, contrary to that is a Tambari coming to take his cousin out for some celebration.

Aryan knows very well the effect he's having on not only the girls but the intimidation the guys were feeling and Amnah is sure he's enjoying it. He took his time talking to her of nothing specifically and she could tell his antics but she refused to call him out of it. If he can remember her final exams and decide to surprise her with a lunch then who's she to not allow him feed on the admiration people were having for him.

He handed her a paper bag when he brought her to the hostel to change and in it is a Damask wrap gown, a scarf, drop earrings, a Manolo blahnik jewel-toned satin stiletto and a note "To more wins".

Coming out of the hostel she caught him speaking to a Fulani girl who was smiling shipishly at whatever he was telling her. Their eyes met and the girl looks down instantly, Amnah already saw the panic in her eyes so she did the needful.

"Yaya", she calls out unnecessarily and entered the copilot space.

"Someone is beginning to learn how to be sweet to my girls"

"I almost walked up to her and tell her to stay off my guy but i thought of another way to torture you more".

"No please, not before our lunch date"

No way! How many seconds have you met? 6? 7? Highest maybe 30 and you're already going on a date?

"You should thank God you're my person, if not, i would have broken this wall you're using to cage yourself. Loosen up girl, hearts are made to be broken".

That reminds her of her very first and last break-up and her vow to never love anyone till after marriage.

How did you do this?

"I want to watch you eat, care for lunch tomorrow".

Just that?

"Just that and we're having that lunch tomorrow. You underrate me girl, what do you expect? That she turns me down?

"What happens after the lunch?", she asked after nodding.

"She will probably be out of my system by then and I'll hop to the next".

Wawu! Your cue to up your game if you are ever going to survive this crazy stage of life. See how smooth they get into you and leave you shattered.

They walked into Jake's and to her greatest surprise met a table full of her cousins and siblings. Amnah clamped her palms to cover her wide mouth, one on top of the other and felt tears stinging the corners of her eyes.

"Thank you", she whispered to Aryan but he made her deadpan with what he said. "You may want to thank the sponsor later when he returns from Madagascar".

Her brain went on an overdrive to figure out who's out of the country, thousands of kilometers away and still thought of her. Abba, but it doesn't just sit right with her.

Because Aryan went further, "but thank you won't do it, how about something romantic", he winks.

Who's in Madagascar? That requires much more than a thank you, romantic? No way! How comes? How did he even?

"Yaya is my brother and that alone", she dragged Aryan's sleeve standing in front of him when they were a few feets to the table.

"He's not the only one in Madagascar", he strolled pass her. But he's the only one Aryan can instigate something like that about, her brain told her.

Farhana's eyes bulged as she saw the protection she sprawled on her husband's clothes now sprawled on her bed, the same way.

Did he even think? My room not his? When he knows i can come in with anyone.

Think about karma? At least it is in your matrimonial home so they will understand.
