The deep voice gave me pause, "Alright... Hi Dave."
"Hey so my girlfriend and I just broke up a week ago."
"I'm sorry to hear that?" I asked more than stated because of the way he said it. He sounded like he was happy more than anything.
"Yeah... I'm pretty distraught by it actually."
He breathed sexually through the phone - if that is even possible.
"I'm sorry, Sir, but you don't sound all that upset? Why are you calling?"
"I was wondering if you were available to have an in person counselling meeting?"
What the hell is wrong with this guy! I try to remain calm as I respond, "I haven't finished my qualification to be a counsellor yet. This is an internship and even if I was a counsellor, meeting in person would be inappropriate as we don't offer the services you are insinuating. I think the number you want to call is 0800 ASSHOLE. Goodbye."
