Poetry 34: If ever

If ever we'll meet each other at some time in the future,
I will make sure, I won't be the same anymore.
The person you once knew had died already.
And in those future times, I know my affectives are healed completely.
We will be gathering as strangers again,
Like everything is our first meeting where there is no pain.
And maybe, we'll be pretending as if it's our first conversation which we'll be made aptly,
Forgetting how we have promised our love to last eternally.
And if ever you dodge a glimpse from me,
I'll catch it and throw it away —
just as how you caught my tickles but never been kept safely.
