Hazel was still breathing.

As soon as I carried her to the bedroom, her body translated her fears between the cold sheets. Her messy long black hair, situated in the middle of two white pillows, gave me chills. It reminded me of those long heavy nights, back in her old house, where I used to beg her warm skin to cuddle with mine. The center of her beauty was like Heaven on fire. I used to watch the flames, smell the fumes from afar but it was always impossible to turn down the heat inside her.

Good poison. Bad medicine.

My fingers navigated upon her flawless face gently as I begged her eyes to expose themselves back to earth. The guilt was eating me alive, I felt responsible. She was in this situation because of my unknown actions. I wanted her to be strong but it was more like an impossible mission. I didn't even know how to protect myself anymore. I finally felt like a real man but failures were written all over my future. I was lost and I was drowning myself under the deep dangerous sea.

I want to make things right, Hazel. Please, forgive me if I'm not the perfect man. Sweetie pie, forgive my heart for craving yours so badly.

Woman, I confess. I'm in love with you and I can't stop this feeling that's growing inside my veins every second of every day.

Holy Heaven, Hazel, you drive me so damn crazy. It kills me to see you in this position. Please get better so I can stop torturing my own self with bad convictions.

Men have feelings, too.

"Ba... Babe?" Her voice was shattered. "What happened?" Her question woke me up from my thoughts and had my full attention on the edge of confusions. "What happened to me?" She repeated herself.

Thank God, she's finally awake.

"You had bad cramps," I spoke the truth. "And you passed out as soon as I placed my hand on your stomach." The base of my fingers caressed her cheeks slowly. "What do you remember?"

"I don't know..." She stated, impatiently. "I had a terrible stomachache and the next thing I know, I'm on our bed." She started explaining her recent tragedy.

"I'm going to call Dr.Pen." I proposed. "We need to make sure that the baby is okay." I panicked. "Are you feeling okay, my love? Are you hurt?" The temperature of my tone was out of energy. I was worried and all I wanted was Hazel's pure safety under control. "Here, drink that." I lifted the bottle of water against her lips. "You need it."

Hazel obeyed, without hesitation.

"You don't have to call Dr. Pen." She made a statement. "I feel fine now." She pulled me closer to her and shared a wet pop kiss. "You don't have to worry about me, I'm perfectly fine. I just want to rest my head on your chest and fall asleep in your arms. That's all I need tonight." Her words were pleasant to hear but difficult to apply. "Good Vibes only. Can you do that for me?"

Hazel, babe. Your words won't work on me this time.

"I care about your health too." I disagreed. "I'll be a bad boyfriend if I let this slide." I squeezed my thoughts inside her mind. "You need to see a doctor and that's final."

"Hawk, please." She faked a sad face. "Can we do that tomorrow morning? It's getting late and I really need you by my side right now. I want to cuddle with you tonight. I feel fine, I promise."

"I don't believe you..." I replied, gently. "What about the baby?"

"Babe..." She sighed, impatiently. "The baby is fine. I promise." There was a pause on her end. "Now, can you please come to bed. I really want you to warm me up right now... Please..."
