MADDOX NOTICED THE WAY Sapphire seemed less enthusiastic during the next few days but didn't want to ask questions, she'd talk to him if she was ready and until then he'd keep her company. He hoped the museum visit they had with the school in the afternoon would bring back the bubbly smile she usually wore, a smile creating sparkles in her eyes like snowflakes gleaming in the sun.

"Give. It. Back." Aviva said threateningly for the seventh time.

Enzo had been twice as annoying with her ever since the last weekend. Aviva had talked to him on the phone about her father, a conversation similar to the one she'd had with Sapphire only deeper. Maddox was surprised when Enzo told him he had simply listened to Aviva, their conversation being different from the usual teasing. Maddox had been equally surprised when Enzo had told him he planned on bringing her father for a few days as a surprise for her. His best friend wasn't the most serious person in the world and the gesture he planned for her proved how much she meant to him.

"You'll have to run for it," Enzo replied smiling before running away under her glare.

They were all in one of the classrooms to do some homework, an event worthy of being put in a history book.

Aviva passed a hand through her dark curls in frustration before turning to Maddox, "I don't know how you've dealt with him for so long."

Maddox smiled sadly, "Violence is the only answer."

She chuckled and was about to speak when Enzo shouted.

"WELL LOOK AT HOW PERFECTLY PLACED THIS WINDOW IS, YOU COULD JUST THROW SOME RANDOM OBJECT OUT OF IT!!!"

Murder was painted on Aviva's face as she heard the words, "Anyone got tips on how to dispose of a body?"

Sapphire answered as she kept doodling butterflies in her notebook, "Draining it of fluids will slow down the decomposition and make sure not to leave any DNA."

Aviva nodded, "Thanks Sapph," while Julian had a horrified expression on his face.

Sapphire looked up, saw his expression and rolled her eyes, "Oh you're telling me you never tried to come with the best way to dispose of a body?"

Julian kept his expression the same and Amaya laughed, "Sapph, I like you even more."

Maddox simply chuckled shaking his head.

Then Aviva first came back in, a white bracelet in her hand and then Enzo followed, clutching his side in pain.

"What happened?" Julian asked frowning.
