*Time skip ahead two years*

Mary had finished her college degree and it was the day of her graduation! Kevin had also graduated with her since they went to the same university and were in the same grade. Namjoon flew to America to attend her graduation. The graduation ceremony was like any usual ceremony and they took photos together and Namjoon met Mary's parents for the first time. They were very thankful for everything Namjoon did for Mary while in Korea, when she got kidnapped, and for supporting her financially when they needed it. Namjoon explained he was only doing what he could for her since he cared about her so much.

After the photos and the ceremony, they head out for dinner to celebrate. During dinner, Kevin shared his plans for after college. He and Gianna decided that they would move in together and find jobs in their career field. When they finished, everyone looked at Mary and asked her what her plans were. She hadn't thought much about it but she knew about one thing she wanted to do and was ready to announce her decision. She stood up and directed her attention to everyone at the table:

"Thank you guys for coming to celebrate Kevin and my graduation today! Special thanks to you Namjoon for interrupting work and flying over here. Now that you're all here, I am ready to share my plans now that I am done with college. I will be moving out of my apartment and moving to Korea to live with Namjoon."

Everyone at the table cheered as Namjoon dropped his utensils in shock.

"Are you sure you want to move already? What about your career?"

"I told you that after I graduated I could move to Korea with you. I also have another surprise for you Namjoon. I apologize in advance for any mistakes."

"Mistakes?"

"I am happy to continue my life with you in Korea and be together like soulmates should be," Mary said in perfect Korean.

"Should I respond in Korean?" Namjoon said as he giggled in confusion and shock.

"I have been studying Korean since I got back so that I could be ready to move to Korea and potentially find a job there too," she continued in Korean.

"Well," Namjoon began in Korean, "You have learned a lot in two years and I am sure that the boys and I will help you improve. I am happy you decided to pick up my language. It'll be easier for you to adjust to being in Korea permanently."

"Can someone please translate what is going on?" Gianna asked.

Mary and Namjoon chuckled before telling Gianna and everyone else what was going on. They then finished their dinner before Namjoon and Mary headed over to his hotel room so they could discuss her moving to Korea. Namjoon had to go back to Korea the following morning as they only gave him a couple days off for her graduation. Mary needed to settle moving out of her apartment and get released from her rent contract, fix her passport and other documents so that she could get a Korean citizenship through her relationship with Namjoon, and give her last goodbyes to her friends and family before being able to fully move out. She would be ready to leave in about a month or so.

"That's actually great timing because we have another summer American tour. You could come with us on tour and then fly with us back to Korea."

"Are you sure I'll be allowed? I will be living with you in Korea after that so there's no need for me to be on tour and make an exception like the time we met."

"That's true but I remember Manager Sejin telling me that he liked having you on tour with us. You managed to keep all of our spirits up even after concerts and interviews. You energize us and he likes that energy."

"Please ask them though, I don't want to cause any problems with the other soulmates like the first time."

"Ok I promise I will talk it out with all of them when I get back."

A few days later, Namjoon had gathered Manager Sejin, the boys, Haru, and their soulmates and talked about Mary joining them on the American tour and that it wasn't the same circumstances as last time so he understood if they wouldn't allow it but he wanted to ask anyway since they had so much fun the first time she was with them. Everyone surprisingly was ok with the idea of her joining them on their American tour given that it would be the last time she would be able to do so since she would then move to Korea and have the same privileges that all the other soulmates have. Manager Sejin also reiterated his liking of her vibe with the boys. As soon as everyone set off to do their own thing, Namjoon called Mary to tell her the wonderful news. There was one last thing they had to discuss before her move and it was the following:

"Will we be living in the dorm forever?"

"Oh..." Namjoon scratched the back of his head nervously on the video call, "I thought you would find your own place to live in once you got here and us living together would only be temporary while you find a place."

"You want me to live away from you?"

"None of the others live with their soulmates here in the dorm and the boys and I have to be together as long as we're still together as a group. I can't just get up and move out."

Mary sighed and buried her face in her hands in frustration.

"Namjoon, the only reason why I wanted to move to Korea was to live with you. But if I can't do that, then maybe I should just stay here."

"No! No! Mary please! I want you here in Korea so we can see each other more often, not everyday, but at least we won't spend months apart."

"I know no one over there other than you, Haru, and the boys. Haru works with you so I won't even be able to see her. What am I supposed to do when I'm alone? I don't know the city and I barely speak Korean well. I can't make friends. Maybe I should just stay here in America."

"But then...when will you move here?"

"I don't know Namjoon. It seems like as long as you're in BTS, I cannot fully be a part of your life and we can't settle down together."

"Settle down? You mean, start a family?"

Mary blushed at the thought while she nodded.

"You have said you want to be a dad. I've seen how you are with kids and how much of a father figure you are to the younger members. But your music career is kind of in the way of that right now which is ok. It's your career and you love what you do. We can wait."

Namjoon's face frowned slightly and he spaced out as he thought about wanting a family with Mary but also loving his music career. Mary noticed he was lost in thought and changed the subject.

"Anyway, I will see you when you come for your American tour and we can spend time together just like last time," she said with a smile on her face.

"Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. I'll see you in a few weeks."

"Saranghae Namjoon."

"Nado saranghae Mary."

He hung up and sat in his office chair lost in thought again. He was highly considering letting go of BTS to settle down. After all, he was 29 and would have to enlist in the army before he turned 30. Maybe it was time for him to move on with his life and continue a solo music career while building the family that he has always wanted.
