"What is all this?" Mary asked, confused.

"Please Mary," Namjoon said, "have a seat."

Namjoon pulled out a chair from a two seater table that had a rose and a metal cooler with a bottle of something in the middle. Mary was positive it was wine or champagne. She took her seat and Namjoon sat across from her.

"Ok first off, was Gianna in on this? Is that why she was acting so weird by the elevator?"

"She was in on it. I wanted this to be a surprise," Namjoon said as he giggled, "Here, have a drink."

Namjoon opened the bottle and served Mary a glass.

"Joon, you know I can't drink yet. I'm not 21."

"I know," he said with a smile, "this is apple cider."

He turned the label to face Mary so she could read that it indeed said apple cider.

"Gianna told me you're very strict about not drinking yet and suggested this," he said.

"What is this all about Joon? Aren't you tired from your concert?"

"Spending time with you energizes me Mary," he said as he reached out to hold Mary's hand across the table. She blushed.

"Joon, you're being such a gentleman. I mean setting this up for me behind my back?"

"Actually, the boys set this up for us. They felt bad about us not having much time together due to the tour."

"Cheers to the boys!"

They both exclaimed "Cheers" and clinked their glasses together before sipping the apple cider.

"Remind me to thank them later," Mary said.

"They also gave us a gift."

Namjoon handed her the gift box and told her to open it. She opened the box to reveal the matching bracelets.

"Aww, they got us matching bracelets," Mary said with a smile.

"Not just any bracelets. Here, pass me one."

Mary gave him one of the bracelets and he pressed a button on the side and the bracelet lit up. Namjoon told her to do the same to her bracelet and soon, they were both blinking as they connected.

"Put it on," he said.

They both put on the bracelets and once on their wrists, the lights stopped blinking and turned off.

"Aww the pretty light went away," Mary said.

Namjoon, from under the table, began tapping his bracelet to which Mary's bracelet began to vibrate and flash with each tap.

"Uh, Joon. I think the bracelet is broken. It's vibrating."

Namjoon giggled, "No, it's not broken. It's supposed to do that."

He revealed his wrists and demonstrated that his tapping made her bracelet vibrate and glow. Mary's face filled with amazement.

"Can I do it too?"

"Go ahead," he said.

Mary tapped on her bracelet and Namjoon's vibrated and glowed in response to her taps. Mary squealed with excitement.

"Namjoon, these bracelets are amazing. I really owe the boys big time for these."

"The guys wanted us to feel connected when we're apart, especially when I have to go back to Korea after the tour."

"Since we can only tap, can we make codes?"

"I'm confused, codes?"

"Yeah! For example, one tap can mean 'Hello' and two taps could mean 'I miss you.'"

"How about we add a third one?"

"I don't know what else we'd want to say."

"I don't want to pressure you to say this anytime soon, but when you feel ready, three taps can mean 'Saranghae.'"

Mary blushed and looked away from Namjoon. She couldn't help but smile to herself as she looked away. It was as if her heart had been connected to a speaker and she felt that the entire world could hear it beat. She took a deep breath and turned back towards Namjoon.

"I like that. When we're ready, three taps can mean 'I love you.'"

They looked deeply into each other's eyes as the jazz continued playing. After several seconds of looking at each other, Namjoon stood up and offered Mary to dance. She took his hand as they moved away from the table towards the center of the rooftop. Mary placed her hands on Namjoon's shoulders and he placed his hands on her waist as they began to sway to the smooth jazz.

"You look beautiful all the time Mary, but tonight, it's over the top."

"You always look handsome Namjoon. But tonight, this is a look I'll remember forever."

Namjoon moved Mary's hands from his shoulders to his waist and pulled her in for a hug as they continued swaying to the music. Mary accepted the hug as she buried herself in his chest and smelled his cologne. It was a perfect night.

Once the song ended, Namjoon accompanied Mary back to her room to call it a night. They walked through the hotel hallway hand in hand, not saying a word; just enjoying their company.

At the entrance of Mary's room, she turned towards Namjoon to say goodnight.

"This was a wonderful night Joon. Thank you."

"I hope we can have more moments like this in the future. I'm sorry I'm so busy."

"I've told you before Joon, it's ok. I understand."

"I appreciate it," he said as he took her other hand.

"Have a goodnight Namjoon. I'll see you tomorrow for breakfast with the boys."

"Goodnight Mary. I'll dream about you."

Namjoon leaned down and softly kissed Mary on the cheek before letting go of her hands and walking away for the night. Mary quickly opened the door to her room and sighed as she quietly dropped to the floor.

Namjoon, back in his room, prepared himself for bed quietly as all the members had fallen asleep. Before heading to sleep, he looked at his bracelet and remembered how happy it made Mary when he tapped it for her. He then tapped his bracelet twice, to tell her he missed her. After a few seconds, he received two taps back from Mary.

They both smiled and drifted off to sleep.
