Chapter 5: The Photo

The next morning, Mary called Gianna and told her about the boys' offer. Gianna was excited to go on tour but a little sad because her soulmate had just gotten back from his trip and now she was leaving. However, he was very understanding and told her that it was a once in a lifetime opportunity and Gianna should take it. With that in mind, they met up at Mary's house to wait for Namjoon to pick them up and head to the tour bus.

Namjoon arrived in a limo and welcomed the girls inside. "Wow," Gianna said, "I've never been in a limo before. This is so high end!" Mary giggled even though she felt the same way. Namjoon explained to the girls that they would have their own section on the bus to sleep, change, shower, and have privacy if needed. The boys would take the remainder of the bus. However, that set up would be temporary as Big Hit had to get a last minute extra transportation to compensate for the last minute changes. The girls would get their own smaller portable home at the next stop and the boys would stay in the main tour bus; this would allow for everyone to have proper room and privacy. Mary and Gianna were excited yet, Mary had a concern. "Namjoon, how will we spend time together while on the road if you'll be on the tour bus with the boys? I thought that would be when we would get to talk since you'll be busy working when we're off the bus." Namjoon had a concerned look on his face and Gianna noticed. She broke the silence, "Mary, it's already amazing enough that we get to be here and I understand you want to spend time with him but let's not push it ok? Let's just enjoy the time you do have together." Mary nodded and they rode in silence for the remainder of the ride.

Once back at the hotel room from the day before, Mary introduced Gianna to the members. They all properly introduced themselves (despite Gianna knowing who they were) and they grabbed their suitcases and headed onto the tour bus. Manager Sejin talked to the boys before heading back to his trailer. Namjoon translated for Mary and Gianna and explained that they would be driving for about a full day before reaching their next city. They would stop for food and gas along the way.

The ride was pleasant. The boys rehearsed their songs to make sure they knew all the lyrics and their entrances. Mary and Gianna were amazed at their talent and how they were so close to them! It was surreal to see them rehearse; almost like a private concert just for them. After rehearsing, Yoongi brought up the fact that Namjoon and Mary hadn't taken a photo together yet. Namjoon asked Mary, "Would you like to take a photo together?" She blushed but nodded smiling. They sat at the couch and posed for a photo, a little distant from one another. "Oh c'mon Joon," Jimin said, "She's your soulmate, put your arm around her." Namjoon, being the gentleman he is, looked at Mary and said, "May I put my arm around you for the photo?" She blushed even harder than she already was and couldn't say or do anything other than nod with a smile. Namjoon placed his arm around her as Taehyung, the photographer of the bunch, took a photo of them together. "Very cute," Gianna said. The boys nodded in agreement as Mary continued blushing. "How about we take a group photo?" Hobi suggested. "Oh yeah! That would be great!" Jin replied, "Go grab the selfie stick so we can all fit." Namjoon translated for the girls and they all huddled together for a group photo. "Say BTS," Hobi said. "BTS!" they all exclaimed as Taehyung snapped the photo.

Later that night, they stopped for gas and Manager Sejin popped in to check on everyone. "Any snacks you guys want?" he asked. "Sprite!" the boys screamed to which Mary and Gianna giggled. "And the ladies?" Namjoon translated and the girls said some tea would be nice. Manager Sejin excused himself to get what they had requested. As he left, Jungkook suggested something to the members in Korean. Namjoon blushed at what they had said. Gianna and Mary looked at one another, lost. Namjoon directed his attention to Mary, "The boys are suggesting we post the photos we took. Both the group one and our photo, if it's ok with you and your friend." The girls exchanged a look before Mary turned back to Namjoon, "Go ahead. We would love for you guys to post the photo," she responded.

Manager Sejin returned with the drinks and snacks they requested. Jungkook asked permission to post the photos. Manager Sejin responded, "You can if you'd like but I'm not sure it's a good idea." "ARMY is going to have to find out about Namjoon's mysterious girl eventually, might as well rip off the bandaid right now," Jin stated. "You're right Jin," Manager Sejin said, "but I still think it's too soon. However, if all of you are ok with it, I can go ahead and post the photos and talk about Miss Mary." Namjoon translated for the girls as the boys thanked Manager Sejin before he walked out.

Once Manager Sejin walked into his trailer to continue the drive, he posted the photos with the caption "BTS continues their American tour after Namjoon found his soulmate (pictured with him in the second photo). Thank you for continuing to support us despite the sudden ups and downs of their lives." As soon as the photo was posted, the comments began to roll in.
