        POV: Lucius Cirillo

Ever since Sir Dranc appointed me to take Cole to the Vendadt, I've been nervous ever since I've returned to the school.

He asked me multiple questions and I've been hesitant to truthfully answer them all.

My only job is to confirm whether Cole's real identity is Luc Valentin or not.

—is that so hard to do, Lucius?

Sir Dranc had summoned me to his office after school, I've been avoiding him all day so, it's not a surprise that he'd summon me.

As I walked towards his office, I peeked out the window only to see that Cole had been standing outside talking to Flavio.

To stay professional and not get distracted by the small things around me, I whipped my head back to the front and straightened my back to correct my posture.

And soon enough, I've arrived in front of Sir Dranc's office. Hesitating to knock, I hear faint music playing inside.

        Is that... Morning Love Sunshine?

I slapped my face with both hands to snap back to reality. Why do I know this???

Shortly, I hear loud stomping inside as the music paused. Then, the door opened.

"Ah! There you are, Lucius. Come sit down!" Sir Dranc had gestured me to go inside.

I sat down on one of the couches in the middle of the room and Sir Dranc sat opposite of me.

"So, have you confirmed it yet?" He asked eagerly.

        "Not yet, sir," I answered.

—I lied. I knew ever since the lady told us he had an existing file. But why am I keeping this to myself?

"Well, that's too bad." Sir Dranc responded. Soon, he stood up and approached the glass window.

"Pardon me for asking you this but, how long are you going to keep—" "Until that woman is dead, Lucius." Sir Dranc interrupted. I know nothing of the woman he mentions often, however.

"Why are you so obsessed with—" "Listen, do you want to see him again or not?" Sir Dranc interrupts me once again.

His question seemed more like a threat.

        I nod quietly.

"I won't hurt him as long as you keep our agreement. You hate that kid anyway right? It should be easy." Sir Dranc turned his head ominously towards me.

"Yes, sir," I muttered. "I will be leaving now, excuse me."

I stood up from my seat and left the office. I let out a sharp exhale before heading back to the lecture hall.

As I entered the lecture hall, it was already empty. Usually, students would still hang out in the lecture hall and talk to their friends after school but I guess they already left to hang out somewhere else. It's a Friday after all.

I sighed hopelessly as I packed my bags and cleaned my desk.

After I finished, I threw my bag over my shoulder and left the lecture hall, turning off its lights.
