Ba Wei stared down at me with a blank expression, and although his stare was a bit unnerving I didn't shift my eyes. I wanted him to see that I wasn't joking.
"You don't mean that," he said removing his arms from around me.
I couldn't help but be annoyed by this. I pushed my body from up against his and turned to look at him. I opened up to this guy and even told him how I felt and he just slaps me in the face like that. What a dick.
"Are you usually this dense," I asked calmly?
He raised an eyebrow, "what?"
I ran a hand through my hair and shifted my eyes from his. Ba Wei is a rough guy, and even if I see some of his nice sides he's still violent too. He's also very dense when it comes to common sense like reading the room but he did just say that he can't express emotions well. After the childhood he just explained I can't exactly blame him.
"I told you I care and you just brush me off." He didn't say anything but I could feel his eyes on me.
"I'm not trying to brush you off. Lots of peo-"
"I'm not other people," I said as our eyes met as I lifted my head. "Do you think that if I didn't care about you I would let you near me?"
"I-"
"Or let you touch me," I said lowly cutting him off.
"It's hard to believe you when I've heard that so many times from so many different people." He reached out and caressed the right side of my face with his hand. I couldn't help but to lean into it and he seemed to like that. "It's hard for me to trust just like you Ji Nan."
"We're fucked up people aren't we," I said lowly.
His hand dropped from my face and slide down to my chest. I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the sudden movement but I didn't object to it.
"We are, but we get each other so we can't be that badly messed up."
I didn't say anything and just smiled. As I did this I could've sworn I saw Ba Weis eyes light up. I shifted my eyes to his lips and as I stared at them I couldn't help but want to kiss them. Without thinking I leaned forward and did just that.
When our lips pressed together sparks went through my body. Ba Wei wasted no time in kissing me back. I thought he would take control of the kiss how he always does but he didn't. As his lips moved against mine he was gentle instead of rough. He let me lead the pace and it was nice.
When our lips separated we both were breathing hard. As we did we never broke eye contact. As I stared into his eyes I couldn't help but want to protect him. Protect him from the past that I knew would soon come to find me. From the phone calls, texts, and pictures that I had received it was close.
I wasn't ready for him to know about it and I won't tell him until I absolutely need too. I don't want to get him involved in such a dangerous game.
"Ji Nan," he started, "I'll try."
I raised an eyebrow confused, "try what?"
He shifted his eyes, "to rely on you."
I didn't say anything and just leaned forward and placed a kiss on the tip of his nose. Ba Wei didn't move nor did he break eye contact. I raised an eyebrow and shifted my eyes and studied his face. It was normal and I was confused because I thought that he would at least pull back. I was about to say something about it when I noticed something. His ears...his ears were red. Without thinking I reached out and tugged slightly on them. This caused him to jerk back almost immediately.
"That's how you blush huh," I said as a goofy smile spread across my face.
"W-what?"
I couldn't help but stare at him in complete shock. Just how many time had I made this guy blush without knowing it. His ears were very hard to see because of his hair so he probably had always been blushing. I had only seen his face red a few times but now I wanted to know just how many times his ears turned that color.
"How does it feel being the one embarrassed," I asked teasingly.
Although I could tell he was indeed embarrassed he didn't try to hide his face. Instead his made sure to look directly at me, and if looks could kill I would be dead. As we stared at each other I couldn't help but think of one thing. Does he stare at me like that when he's embarrassed?
I couldn't answer that question and before I could actually ask I was pushed down onto the bed. I didn't really have a reaction to this sudden action made by Ba Wei. I knew the move he was pulling and it wouldn't work.
"You know using force won't stop me from teasing you."
He didn't say anything and just lowered his body into mine pressing out bodies together. He laid his head right by my ear as said nothing. He just laid there and just breathed. It was strange because I couldn't guess what his end game was. It wasn't like this would make me stop, in fact it's gonna make me worse.
"You know I can see your ears clearly in this position," I poked his ear, "they're still red you know."
He against responded with silence and I was just about to tease him a bit more when he suddenly lifted his head and smashed his lips into mine. My eyes widened in surprise as he pulled back.
"Wh-"
"Stop talking," he said while frowning. "You're really getting on my nerves."
I couldn't help but laugh at the sudden outburst, and I with a sly smile I said.
