"What are you doing here??" Her voice came out as whisper laden with pain.
"Anika...I..."
She turned away.
I never wished to see him.
Never.
"Please listen...I..."
"Can't you just leave??" Pinky shouted, "Why are you hurting her Shivaay?? Just go back to the family of yours. Leave her alone."
Anika said nothing.
"If she asks me to leave then let me go," Shivaay voiced out his opinion.
She can never turn me down. If she has even a proton size of love in her heart, she can't.
Anika looked at her ex husband, looking at her desperately for an answer.
Moments passed slow with silence engulfing the area.
Her brown orbs concealed her emotions as her lips muttered,
"Get out,"

Devanika took deep breaths as she could feel the life slipping away. She was soaked in sweat and blood, sitting against the door of her bedroom.
Her hand reached out for the phone nearby.
The screensaver came to life, which had her,Dhruv,Anu and her family in single frame.
The day, they made a wonderful memory.
"Oye ruk," Devanika stopped Dhruv who kept climbing on the hill nearby.
"Where are we going??"
"It's a surprise,"
"Dhruv, we had been walking for an hour till now,"
"I know but please come with me,"
He pleaded while looking upwards. Jumping on his place, he gave a victorious smile as he spotted something.
"We are almost there, come," He held her wrist as the duo walked up still.
"Where are we Dhruv??"
"Well, close your eyes,"
"Ha..."
"Close your eyes,"
"Okay..."
"Don't you cheat!!"
"I won't,"
Devanika stood with her eyes closed.
She could feel Dhruv walking around.
Soon she could hear some buzz around.
"Open your eyes," Dhruv said while standing next to her.
As she opened her eyes, she couldn't believe the sight she saw.
They were standing amidst a swarm of fireflies which were like floating lanterns that came in Tangled.
"Dhruv..."
"I collected them all..."
"Wait, are they..."
"Magic fireflies, the one found only in deep areas of Shimla,"
"Dhruv, you are..."
"Amazing??"
"Thank you, it had always been my..."
"Dream,"
"Well you won't allow me to..."
"Complete any sentence,"
"Tu na sachi," She hugged him.
"I shall never allow you to complete any sentence cause you must know that we both shall never be complete without each other,"

He giggled.
"Wait, even I should complete your sentences na, to make your statement valid,"
"Yeah, bilkul,"
"Then say something let me try completing,"
"Well, We both shall be together..."
"Till I die," Devanika completed only to see him flinch.
"Dhruv, what happened??"
He moved away from her hold.
"Dhruv..."
He began climbing down.
"Dhruv..."
No response.
"Oye ruk..."
She held his hand.
"Dhruv..."
"Don't talk with me..."
"Arrey..."
"Just leave..."
"Dhruv..."
"Why do you wish to die??"
"Oh...comeon, I was just joking..."
"It's not joke,"
"Well, what if I die one day?? Leaving you all alone..."
"I shall get you back and..."
"And??"
Dhruv said nothing.
"And??"
"Don't you dare to die okay??" He pulled her into an embrace, "And don't you even dare to talk about it, no one shall die and mourn, we both shall live happily ever after,"
"You didn't answer my question still..."
"What??"
"What if I die..."
"Come on, you can't say so on your birthday..."

He smacked her head.
"How dare you??"
She elbowed him.

The pain in her abdomen shot through her nerves blinding her senses, while breaking her reverie.
The darkness was engulfing her vision while the stench of her blood in her nasal buds was vanishing slowly.
Her ears became numb and she didn't hear Dhruv breaking open the main door.
Her body slipped down, as her face slammed against the cold marble floor. She didn't hear Dhruv screaming her name like possessed.
She didn't hear Anu pointing out at the bedroom.
She heard nothing. All she know was...she was dying slowly.

"As per the latest predictions, we expect a crash in stock prices..." Rikara was explaining her dad, when Gauri dashed in.
She was breathing heavily.
"Gauri..." Om rushed towards her.
"Omkaraji..." She was shivering.
"What happened??"
"Wahan...dadiji..."
"What happened to Dadi??"
"She fainted,"
"What??"
"She is not waking up..."
"Dadi..." Om rushed out towards Dadi's room where Gauri had been few minutes ago to serve dinner for the old matriarch of the family.

Rikar was late at his work.
The last patient walked out just now.
Clearing up the files on his table, he walked towards the window of his cabin and looked out at sky.
It was hazy grey off late, indicating the approaching rain.
"Why am I feeling so restless?? Why am I feeling like something sinister is going to happen?? Why??"
"Excuse me sir..." A nurse came in, "It's an emergency."

Dhruv sat in front of ER with his shirt soaked with her blood.
It was so red that people shall mistake that it was him who got stabbed.
His eyes were bright red with his pulse throbbing out of pain.
He was sweating profusely with his shirt sticking to his body.
Anu sat next to him, who was no less devastated.
"We need to sign some forms, can anyone come with me??"
The nurse asked the duo and Anu nudged Dhruv.
"You go and take care of formalities, I shall be back soon,"
For which Dhruv nodded mechanically while following the nurse.

Rikar instructed the nurses regarding the basic procedures.
"Get O-ve blood before we get a cross match, a deep cut in abdomen area. Heavy blood loss..."
"Call Dr Ved," He instructed further.
"Shift her to OT ASAP, check for fractures, Internal bleeding etc."
He walked out as the nurses rolled her towards the OT.
His eyes striked Anu, who was crying bitterly.
"Anu..."
"How is she Rikar?? All okay??"
"I can't say anything till the surgery is done,"
"I am afraid,"
"What happened??"
"I don't know, she called me stating that someone stabbed her."
"Did she hallucinate homicide??"
"Nope. It was clearly did by an intruder. Who will lock themselves from outside??"
"You came with her alone??"
"Nope, her bf is also here," She sniffed, "He is filling the forms,"
Rikar blinked.
She said he is not here??
"He came back today only," Anu replied as she mind read her boyfriend's question.
