A Christmas Celebration for the New Princessa

We decided to wait until Evangelina was two months old to send out invitations for a grand ball to celebrate her birth. Since we are in December we thought it would be best to celebrate Evangelina's birth with a Christmas Ball. Everyone in the family was coming there was a euphoric aura both in the castle and in the kingdom. The kingdom was covered in beautiful snow. Evangelina is growing more and more beautiful each and every day, she is growing, and I cannot believe that she is already two months old. She is such a wonderful baby so calm and serene, that is until she is hungry or wet. My little Princessa does not like to wait to eat or be changed, trust me she will let the whole castle know if she's hungry or wet.

Nick has been amazing, supportive, I have no words. The moment Evangelina makes a sound he jumps up and brings her to me. I always knew that he was going to be an amazing father. As I watch his chest rise and fall with every breath, I couldn't help but gaze at him.

Nick peaked an eye open, and I smiled. "Why aren't you sleeping Beloved?" He said with his eyes closed.

"How could I sleep when I have such an amazing handsome husband next to me?" I said.

"Hmmm that does sound difficult, I am pretty awesome and incredibly handsome" he replied.

"You are unbelievable!" I said hitting him with my pillow. When I hit him, it took him off guard, his head popped up and his eyes went wide. He immediately grabbed me and put me under him, I couldn't contain my giggling. He kissed me in efforts to muffle my giggling.

"Shhh you're going to wake up......." Evangelina started to stir, and we froze in efforts to not make any noise and wake her up.

"She went back to sleep, so what were you going to do about me hitting you?" I said challenging him.

Nick kissed me and said, "Do you want me to do something about it?"

"I don't know, I'm not sure that you still have it in you. You know being a father now it changes things you know" I said teasing him.

"Yeah, Yeah, I know" he said as he lowered himself and kissed me. "I know that you are a horrible liar and that you cannot live without me".

"You're right, I can't live without you, Beloved" I kissed him passionately and felt him relax in my arms. I ran my nails across his ribs and tickled him, he immediately jerked away from me and grabbed both of my hands.

"Ah, Ah, Ah, Beloved, doing that will get you into trouble". He said.

"And what if I want trouble? Nick, are you gonna give me trouble?" I said giving him a look I knew that would drive him crazy.

He cleared his throat obviously feeling affected by my response and look. "Careful what you wish for Esperanza, you may not be able to handle your wish being granted". He raised an eyebrow and gave me a dangerous smile.

"Try me, Rey Nick" I replied.

"Your wish is my command, Reina Esperanza" Nick raised my hands above my head and lowered himself to kiss me when all of the sudden Evangelina started to cry.

Nick groaned and I couldn't help but laugh, "Maybe she will stop" Nick said and Evangelina's cry intensified. "Maybe not" I said.

Nick groaned again, got up, went to the basinet and picked up Evangelina. "Evangelina I am going to tell you something that my father would always tell me, you have the worst timing princessa". He said as he kissed her cheek. "I'm pretty sure she's hungry". He said as he passed her to me.

I lowered my nightgown and began to feed her "Oh, yeah she was hungry".

"She wasn't the only one" Nick said as he grumbled towards the bathroom. I had to giggle at his silliness.
