Chapter 13: Honesty

{ Two days before the war meeting }

Pouring chemical into a flask, she watched as it leveled up beyond a hundred milliliter. She tilted the tube upward, halting it to a stop. She circled it slightly using a tongs then carried it into a fire bunsen burner, leaving it there for a minute before closing it once it changed color.

"Done." Sakura took off the goggles, turning her hips to the side in hope of getting an approval. Marco sat on the bed of the medical bay. Because of how empty it was, the room felt more spacious then usual. The dozen beds were pushed aside to create space for their studies with various items neatly organized in order of big to small. He wore a loose white dress shirt, squared glasses with a upside down "U" shaped rims.

"You are a fast learner." Marco ticked off another checklist in his clipboard. "Keep this up and you will surpass all my knowledge in six months only yoi."

Sakura blushed at the compliment, scratching her cheeks. She was happy for being able to keep up with the knowledge of this world. To be the best she will have push herself beyond the limits. The medical experience here will help konoha develop further in medicine so she wants to soak in as much as she could.

"It's because I have a good teacher like you Marco-sensei." She grinned, mockingly drawling it out then straightened up her back, tightly pressing her thighs together, saluting on her seat.

He smirked, standing off the bed and courtesy. "Well then my student, it's time to switch roles."

Then he saluted. "Sakura-sensei, what's my lesson for today yoi?"

Sakura giggled, enjoying their shared humor. She got down on the floor and sat Indian style. There weren't any table with both sides open unless they studied in the food court so she had rely on this. She pulled out a scroll from her new pouch, unraveling it with single snap of the tie. It rolled open, revealing an outline of a human figure. There were circular dots on all parts of the body.

"Today's lesson is chakra points." He sat on the other side, nodding at where she tapped. "Each pressure create a specific function. They are usual hard to stop or release with your bare finger so you would need to use a needle. The only clan, in my village, who are able to see all three hundred sixty are the Hyuga clan but if you can do even thirty, that would be beyond impressive."

"Hyuga clan? Are they healers too yoi?" Other than the time she talked about Sasuke and Naruto, he never heard her talk about anyone else.

"No, they are fighters. They are a one of the four noble clans in Konoha. They are the second st-" she paused for a second, her thoughts interrupted. Uchiha held the title but since the massacre, they no longer were the strongest clan if only oneUchiha lived. "The strongest in our village because they all possess an eye bloodline exclusively for their clan."

Marco's mind was reeling from the information. The more she spoke about her village, the more ethereal they sounded. These shinobi hid themselves well for him to hear a lot of this for the first time. Passed down hereditary? He thought he knew the New World but now he felt like toddler, learning all over again. "It's interesting. I don't think I ever heard of a clan with special bloodlines.

"Probably because they don't exist here," she trailed off and his lips parted to say something but closed as fast. He didn't want to thread on a sensitive subject. It sounded like they extincted when she phrased it that way. She didn't sound sad though which made him wonder what she actually meant.
