But now we go forward onto a topic I think almost everyone knows about or should know about. Which is spoiler spoiler, Bill's death. Or should I say.. supposed death.

Everyone knows the ending of Gravity Falls. Stanley tricks Bill into thinking he was Stanford by letting him into his mind. Stanford dressed as Stanley then erases everything in Stan's mind, also erasing Bill from reality in the process.

At least, that's what we're led to believe

A commonly known fact a lot of the very involved fans of Gravity Falls know is that the nonsense Bill speaks right before he dies is actually a message backward. These are Bill's last words;

"A-X-O-L-O-T-L. MY TIME HAS COME TO BURN. I INVOKE THE ANCIENT POWER THAT I MAY RETURN."

So basically Bill says something about returning one day, (leaving us theorists going nuts) but just who is this Axolotl he's calling out to?

Well, Bills calling out to a creature named The Axolotl. In real life, Axolotls are aquatic salamanders native to one freshwater lake in Mexico.

Cute, aren't they? They certainly have features that would be considered alien-like, but those gills you see regenerate, one of Axolotl's most prominent features

But in Gravity Falls, this aquatic creature holds a massive secret role.

The Axolotl within Gravity Falls is an extremely powerful interdimensional creature. Alex Hirsch once said that in the idea of 'always a bigger fish' the order would go Time Baby<Bill<The Axolotl. The Axolotl is more powerful than Bill Cipher and any other creature we've seen in Gravity Falls for that matter.

We know who the Axolotl is because of Dipper and Mabel and the Curse of the Time Pirates' Treasure!: Select Your Own Choose-Venture book.
