THERE WAS NEVER a reason for Yoongi to go see Belle on a day that wasn't a Sunday, until the Wednesday after Belle's birthday when they kissed—and nothing else—and bloomed their relationship. Yoongi had never felt as strongly in his past relationships as he did with Belle, so he wasn't quite sure how to handle the relationship. He was also naturally a man who was nervous about the idea of mutual feelings, as unrequited feelings were usually easier to deal with. But knowing Belle shared possibly an ounce of his feelings toward him? It made his heart skip a beat.

Therefore, Yoongi took advantage of his extremely rare day off to go to Belle's house to be with her, perhaps watch a movie and nap on the couch with her in his arms. It was his ideal date, and by knowing her, he figured it must have been hers too.

Planning to surprise her, he punched in the code to her door, opening it quietly and hoping the lock's melody didn't announce his arrival.

However, upon stepping inside, he heard a voice in the living room, an unrecognizable female, matured voice speaking until Belle's voice overlapped hers. She sounded frustrated, and defensive, and Yoongi wished he never showed up when the woman had peeled her head into the small foyer, catching him standing there.

"Oh, hello," the woman politely waved him over from the couch. Having nowhere to run to, Yoongi stepped inside, his hands nervously clasped in front of him. He saw Belle on the couch opposite the woman, with a very pissed-off expression, which only intensified when seeing him.

She rolled her head back in exhaustion, and Yoongi couldn't help but feel like she hated seeing him, which made him shrink a bit.

"Hey, I've seen you on the news before," the woman pointed out as she observed Yoongi. He glanced at her, noticing her straight posture and her pearl accessories. "Oh, I should introduce myself. I'm Belle's mother."

Shit, Yoongi swallowed. He couldn't have walked in at a worse time.

"We're having a private conversation, Yoongi," Belle told him, her voice laced with annoyance. "I'll walk you to the door." She stood up, ready to follow Yoongi to the foyer until her mother's voice interrupted her.

"Wait! Are you her friend?" she asked him with a smile. Yoongi opened his mouth to reply, but Belle beat him to it, and quite bitterly.

"He's my student."

Yoongi felt his heart crack a bit. He was degraded down to her student once again, and while he could understand her hostility toward his mother, he couldn't help but feel the twinge of pain her words inflicted on him.

"Oh, I didn't know you were still doing those lessons," the mother rose her eyebrows. "This conversation would have been over much sooner."

"No," Belle fakely smiled down at her mother. "You could have just seen it on the news and stayed out of it."
