Chapter 45 ==Straight Talk With Brother==

The ride home was quiet, I had my legs crossed, as I faced brother who ain't looking at me and was looking outside

"Is it the first time we're alone since mine and Lia's birthday, right sister?"

He suddenly said, and I was startled by it, I smiled lightly "Yes it is brother, though both of us have been avoiding each other's presence no wonder we don't have alone time with each other" I honestly responded, which led to an another awkward silence

"May I ask where have you been brother? Though it's unusual for you to be around in this part of the city" I stated touching the gift that I've just received

"I'm appealing to Smiley, which I've been doing so since I've returned back from the academy" he honestly said, which I was surprised, I never thought that he will tell me anything about Smiley

"Hmm...if it's not rude to ask, how did you have an attachment with Mr. Smiley when you've been in the academy since you're 14?" I was curious, I really am...

Though I'm a very open minded person and supported +LGBTQ Community since from my past life, but to think that it also exists in this story, I must appluad the author though

Is this why Brother didn't got married in the book??

If he was gay, and had a child that continued the Silverton name...

Or he is no longer gay and had a family in the story....

Why did the Author do that though?? I'm hella confuse...

"Back from the Academy, he was an exchange student at that time  and it was love at first sight, though he dropped out after we broke up, because of me being scared to be exposed, I don't want to ruin father's expectations as I am his heir" he honestly said as I smiled lightly

I place my hand on top in his, "I understand, it's the pressure brother, but you're free to love anyone" I assured him

"Even if he's a guy?"

"Even if he's a guy, there's no limits when it comes to love brother, as long as you follow your heart, that's all that matters" I stated, he smiled lightly and then pulled me into a hug

"You're right... Love isn't all about genders, I'll try my best to win his heart back" he whispered as I was happy, I know that brother has been pressured to be perfect, to think he has his own flaws

Then I believed, that an another plot has been changed...

"We've now arrived Young Master, My Lady" we heard the coachman said, as I patiently waited for the door to be opened, and as it did, brother went out first and offered to help get down

Does he think I'm still a damsel in distress?

And as you all thought, I rejected it and went down on my own, "It seemed that you had your own rules now Sister"he whispered, I smirked and just flipped my hair and walk inside the house leaving him speechless

But as I entered home, I could see Mother being restless by the stairs, and when she saw me and brother together she breath out in relief and pulled us into a hug,

"Thank God you two are ok!" She exclaimed, and both me and brother are hella confuse

Though I know it's already quite late, but I've now debuted in society, so I have my own rights now, and also I'm with brother of course

So no reason for her to get worked up,

"Mom, did something happened?" Brother asked mom, as mom slowly pulled away and took a huge deep breath

"Amelia was almost kidnapped on her way home from visiting my parents, I'm sure it's a kidnapping because none of her things were ransacked, she was their target" mother slowly explained and both me and brother were shocked

Who has the audacity to attempt to kidnap a Silverton??

Even the Emperor wouldn't touch us so lightly because he was afraid.

"How is she now?"I worriedly asked

"She's being treated, has some few bruises because she resisted, before she passed out from exhaustion, luckily that Marquis Allan saved her" Mom explained...

Well, a name that I haven't heard for some quite time... Because I shutted him out,

"Where is she??" brother asked worriedly, "She's in her room-" before mom could finish her words, brother suddenly charge to Sister's room leaving me and mom

Well, he cares for his twin...

"Alyssa, as we track down the mastermind, please do not leave the in the Dukedom, ok?" Mom told me as I nodded

"Good, now, go back to your room, and refrain from going outside the gates" she added as I nodded once again and walked towards my room

Sister...

Did she caught trouble?

Why her?

And not me??

She's the villainess for Christ sake, she should be the mastermind, she should be the perpetrator not the victim,

How messed up this story can change??
