𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘: 3rd january 2022 𝗟𝗢𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡: HYBE building, Seoul
yuri paced through the hallway outside the studio as she read over the lyrics she had been working on day and night, for the last week. several sleepless nights were spent on them and still, it felt like she was missing so much of it.
"you called?"
"oh thank goodness," she grabbed her best friend's hand, dragging him into the studio, locking the door behind them.
"woah, what are you planning to do that requires the door locked?" jungkook teased, "is this the moment i've been dreaming of?"
"dream of me later," she said, taking a seat in front of the piano before handing him the sheet she was previously holding, "look those over for me, please. i feel like the song is missing something and it's annoying me. motivation is striking right now and i cannot let it go to waste."
"do you have a melody?" he asked, his eyes scanned through the roughly written lyrics on the paper, other rejected lines scraped.
"hm," yuri nodded, "wanna hear my plan for the chorus?"
"yeah," he nodded, sitting down next to her as her fingers started pressing down on the keys, playing a soft tune.
"that's really pretty," he said once she was done, "but i think you need something between the opening chorus and the first verse you've written."
"another verse, you think?"
he nodded, "maybe a pre chorus too? can i write something?"
"only if it's serious and not one of your dumb pickup lines," she replied.
"my pickup lines are not dumb," he said, "but yeah, i want to write actual lyrics."
"go ahead," she handed him a pen and let him write out whatever he wanted. he read through what she had written, chewing on the back pen as he concentrated.
