It was pouring heavily that day as I waited for my father to pick me up after college. After forty minutes of waiting, I received a call from him, expressing how busy he was and how inconvenient it was for him to come and get me due to his important work.

Unable to find any available cabs or taxis due to the bad weather, I ended up walking in the heavy rain that day. My clothes were completely drenched, and I started feeling tired and dizzy.

It was so cold. And then I met you, providing me with warmth.

"Are you insane?" you yelled. "Where do you think you're going alone in this weather?"

But I was too weak to react. My eyes felt heavy.

"Shit," you muttered underneath your breath before wrapping your jacket around me. It felt warm and safe.

You took hold of my hand and brought me to your car, starting to drive. Soon, everything went dark.

When I woke up, I felt someone holding my hand. It was my elder sister.

My father was pacing back and forth, muttering about how immature I was, unable to bring myself home even once without him.

I'm sorry, Dad.
