The following week, Umma left for Turkey with some of her relatives, while Fatima went shopping with Mino and her cousin. Fatima's designer, Labiba, advised her on what to wear for the upcoming events. They decided to head back home. Upon their arrival, Fatima slumped on the couch and grumbled, "I'm so tired, I can feel my legs." Mino retorted, "You're not the only one that went along." Fatima realized she had forgotten something and asked, "Forgot about what?" Mino explained that the beautician would start coming the next day, and they were not done with shopping. Fatima casually shrugged and said, "Forget about it, you know my choice. Just go for it. And don't forget about purple." Mino smiled and mockingly said, "You really love purple." They both burst into laughter.

Time flew by quickly, and today marked the commencement of the wedding events. Two weeks before the wedding, Muhammad's family brought the lefe, an elaborate gift. Fatima and Mino left the house before the groom's family arrived and went to a friend's house. The groom's family arrived with 24 beautifully wrapped boxes, filled with luxury items from designer brands. It was a lavish collection, with shoes, bags, accessories, laces, dresses, innerwear, perfumes, make-up equipment, watches, jewelry, and even cash. Mino's family served and welcomed them before they left.

Today was the Sakun Lalle, a traditional Hausa ceremony where henna application takes place. Fatima wore a stunning white dress that accentuated her figure and moved gracefully through the venue. As she sat to have her henna done, her friends gathered around to admire the intricate design. Fatima felt awed by the beauty of the decorations at the garden venue, with vibrant colors and sparkling lights illuminating the atmosphere. Music played in the background, and everyone was enjoying the festivities. Fatima looked around at the guests, feeling a sense of happiness and contentment.

As the henna artist finished designing the pattern on Fatima's hand, her friends helped her stand up. They then went to a stall where the artist applied substances to deepen the color. Afterward, they returned to the garden, where the party was in full swing. People danced joyfully, and the night was filled with laughter and celebration. Fatima's henna developed a deep color As the night went on, Fatima's henna continued to darken, creating a beautiful contrast against her fair skin. She moved gracefully on the dance floor, twirling and swaying to the music, her friends by her side. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, joy, and the enchanting aroma of delicious food.

Throughout the evening, family members, friends, and neighbors came forward to congratulate Fatima and express their well-wishes. They admired her henna design and showered her with compliments, making her feel like the center of attention. Fatima greeted each person with a warm smile and thanked them for their kind words.

As the festivities continued, Fatima couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude and love. She looked around the beautifully decorated garden, taking in the sights and sounds of the celebration. The twinkling lights, vibrant colors, and the laughter of her loved ones made her heart swell with happiness.

Near the end of the evening, Fatima found a quiet spot to observe the scene. She sat down on a cushioned mat, feeling a sense of peace wash over her. The stars above twinkled in the night sky, adding a touch of magic to the moment. She reflected on the journey that had led her to this point and couldn't help but feel blessed.

Mino approached her, a warm smile on her face. "Fatima, this night has been amazing," she said, her eyes shining with excitement. "Everything has been perfect, and I'm so glad to have been a part of it."

Fatima nodded, her heart overflowing with gratitude. "Yes, Mino, I couldn't have asked for a better friend by my side through all of this. Your love and support have meant the world to me."

Mino hugged her tightly. "And you're going to make the most beautiful bride, Fatima. Muhammad is a lucky man."

Fatima laughed softly. "Well, let's hope so. But regardless, tonight is about celebrating love, friendship, and the start of a new chapter."

As the night came to a close, Fatima couldn't help but feel ready for the next phases of her wedding journey. She knew that there would be challenges and moments of uncertainty, but she was determined to face them with grace and a positive outlook.

With her hennaed hands resting on her lap, she whispered a silent prayer, asking for guidance and blessings on her upcoming marriage. As the night sky sparkled above her.
