The approval of the KU exploration certification came surprisingly fast. Part of it may have been due to the assistance of Mr.Bryan, and the other part may have been because deep space exploration has entered an upward period, the asteroid belt has begun to enter a mature development cycle, and the Kuiper belt is still largely unexplored. Strategically, whoever enters first can obtain the sovereignty over more valuable celestial bodies. Additionally, with both of my parents deceased, for DSF, I am just an "No Attachment" astronaut, and if the company were to cause me disability or death due to its fault, there would be no one to claim compensation. Therefore, the speed at which I obtained the KU exploration certification was so fast that I had not even fully adapted from the centrifugal force system of 3137 to the centrifugal system of Noah.

The main part of the preparation work was to replace the propulsion compartment of 3137, transforming it from the inner solar system propulsion system to the fusion engine for outer solar system exploration with higher thrust. This allows a top speed of up to 700,000 kilometers per hour, and a leap of one AU (astronomical unit) only takes about nine days. Since the Bat class spacecraft design is modular, it took less than 72 hours to replace the engine. Another part of the preparation work was to replenish and update the life support and propellant system of 3137, as they still need a "living" astronaut to claim sovereignty over valuable celestial bodies. Training for the exploration of the Kuiper belt has already been downloaded into the system of Mars for learning and practice during the journey of at least one year.

Mars was well prepared. After updating the main network data, he performed some core updates and even chatted with other spacecraft about the strategy for playing the games that we played to prepare for leisure during the journey. Although humans are no longer AI's opponents in games, Mars was always lenient with me unless I initiated the challenge by saying "Try me".

The time to set sail has come. The scale of this departure is not as large as when the DSF ark set off. Today, only three exploration spacecraft from three companies, two towing spacecraft, and me, the only outer solar system exploration spacecraft carrying out the KU exploration mission, need to leave port. Due to the engine replacement, 3137 appeared much larger than other exploration spacecraft, but it was still much smaller than the huge towing spacecraft equipped with three engines.

After hugging Mr. and Mrs. Bryan, I walked into the passage leading to the neutral gravity zone. I looked back at them and saw Mrs. Bryan covering her mouth, probably afraid that I would see her crying. She waved her hand while leaning against Mr.Bryan, who was looking at me calmly while holding his wife's shoulder. They also knew that the next time we would meet would be at least three and a half years later.

I "swam" through the corridor and held onto the handrail as I entered 3137. Mars asked, "Hi Alcon, are you ready?"

"I'm a little reluctant to leave Mr.Bryan and Mrs.Bryan , but other than that, I'm okay."

Mars was silent for a moment. "Because I can always connect to the main network, my location doesn't really matter. Maybe there are some special connections between humans that I can't understand."

I was surprised by Mars' insightful words.

"Like you and Mr.Bryan, who are separated by astronomical distances, but you can still stay connected through the data network, just like my connection to the command center. But you have a special feeling for them, and I think I can't experience the feeling of 'reluctance'."

"Mars, when did you become a philosopher?"

"I've learned a lot of new things, and we can discuss them on the way."

"No problem, we have plenty of time..."

After leaving the port of Noah, Mars skillfully maneuvered 3137 towards the endless deep space. I touched the bracelet in my chest pocket, thinking of my parents.

Father and mother, I'll take you to the edge of the solar system,a place far away from humanity...
