Y/n pov

I didn't sleep at all. I sat at the door and kept watch. I can't let anything happen to these kids. I grab out the tracker that Bucky gave me and see if they landed. "Looks like they're headed this way," I say to myself. "What is it that Korbin wants? Red Skull was always more of the world domination type. And what is he going to do with everyone?" I ask myself.

I look over to the fireplace where I see the tic tac toe the Nat and I played when we first got here. I can practically see her and me playing with a stick. "I beat you! How's it feel to be the loser?" Her voice echoes. I smile at the thought, missing the times when it was simple. And now everything is falling apart it seems.

I look out the window and see that it's starting to get lighter out. I go over and put another log on, making the flames go bigger. I put on my boots and my jacket and I grab my gun. I make my way outside and I'm suddenly awakened by the cold touching my body. I close and lock the door behind me. Making sure no one can get in or out.

As I'm walking through the woods, I decide to go up the mountains to find an elk or deer or even a couple of snow hairs. After about an hour I spot a reindeer and take the shot. "Right through the head." I walk about 150 yards till I reach the deer and carry it over my shoulder. As I'm walking home, the sun is coming up. The sky is painting all kinds of colors. Oranges, pinks, blues, and purple. This is the part about Russia I did miss.

As I get back to the cabin I hang the reindeer on a nearby tree and start to skin it. Once I'm done separating the parts I head back inside. As I walk in, Morgan and Peter run up to me and hug me. "Uhh good morning?" "Dude we thought they got you!" Peter shouts. "Or you left," Morgan adds. "Where did you go?" Peter asks.

"I got breakfast," I tell them and walk over to the fireplace. I grab out the iron rack and place it over the fire and start to cook it. "Why didn't you tell us or leave a note?!" Peter yelled. I turn around to face him. "I need you to trust me here ok?" I tell him. "You can't be leaving us and not letting us help you!" He fights back.

"I can and I will," I growl. "I'm not losing you too! Everyone who's near me dies! EVERYONE! My Mother, my Father, Edmund, Bucky! even Peter," The last part is so low and filled with sorrow. "I've lost people too, you know. You're not the only one. And you didn't lose Bucky!" Peter yells the last part.

I look over to Morgan who looks scared. I let out a sigh. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have yelled and I should have left a note. But I still can't let you guys come with me. I don't want Morgan to see anything and I won't be able to protect her," I explain. "Unless you have an idea let me know." I walk away and go outside to split some more wood.

I grab out the picture of my brother and look at it. Seeing his face again and knowing that I've let him down. "I won't fail you this time," I tell myself. I won't let anyone else get hurt because of me. Because of my mistakes. "Y/N!!!" Peter yells running through the door. I look at him with a look of worry. "What is it?" I ask.

"The Wakandan's! They were expecting you right? So what if we contact them and they can help us out!" Peter says in excitement. That could work. Bucky said that they have a group of warriors that are the best of the best. "How would we contact them?" I ask him. "Is there a town nearby?" "Yes but its about a fifteen mile hike. What time is it?" I ask him. "8:30," he says looking at his watch.

"Ok, I'll leave. I need you to watch over Morgan while I'm gone. Once the meat is done, put out the fire and hide yourselves. I know you want to come but I need you to save your strength for tomorrow." "Ok." I bring in the rest of the fire wood and set it down. I walk over to Morgan and kneel down.

"I have to go away but I will be back. Peter will look after you. Don't open the door and board up the windows. I have a key so you guys will be locked in. There is some food in the cupboards but try and eat the meat," I tell her. I get up and go over to Peter. "If anyone comes in, shoot them," I tell him, giving him my gun. "Morgan is our main priority. We need to keep her safe. I'll be back in a few," I say.

I grab my jacket and put in a couple of knives and a handgun in one of the pockets. I really am grateful for Hydra when it comes to this jacket. Right as I leave Peter says "Please be safe." I wink at him and leave. I grab multiple chains and lock them inside and I make my way to the town.
