Kitty and I were waiting for people to come, and I was rather surprised when I watched over 50 people join our dinner. After a while, I saw Florian and Q coming in and then toward us.
Q: Wow, people are calling this Chin-gu-seok
He said, and I looked at him, not understanding the last word that he said. Yeah, I have been taking Korean lessons, but I was still not good at this particular subject
Kitty: What?
And it seems like my sister's Korean weren't better than mine
Florian: It's a pub on Chinggu, which means "friend" and Chuseok. You started a new tradition
He said, and I smiled proudly at my sister. Well, when we finish High school, we will definitely leave a part of us here in Korea. Then we saw Professor Lee walking through the doors and my sister's eyes widened
Kitty: Oh no. No, no, why is Professor Lee here?
Minho: Because he is sad and alone
He said, and I giggled at his comment for only me to hear it. Then Madison the tall ginger-haired girl came our way and started talking to Minho. I walked a few meters away from them and pretended that I was checking that everything was in its place while listening to their conversation
Madison: Is she your girlfriend?
She asked rather curious and Minho scoffed
Minho: Who Y/n? Hell no! She is the devil.! But I actually have a date later with Lulu
He said, rather proud of himself, and she laughed. I on the other hand scoffed at his ridiculous comment about me. I wasn't the devil, he was
Madison: Yeah, sorry, my fault! But the way you look at her says otherwise. Also, one more thing about Lulu. Just be careful, I know that her fans can be a bit judgy sometimes
She said and left. When I realized that everyone was sitting, I went to find a free sit. Kitty had already sat next to Alex and left me a spot next to Minho. Excuse me? He was my brother too! I mean, we are not completely sure about that, but still! I went to her and whispered in her ear
Y/n: What are you doing?
I asked only for the two of us to listen
Kitty: Just follow my lead
She said, and I sighed before I went to sit next to Minho. Then Q smiled and turned towards us
Q: How about a toast Kitty and Y/n?
He asked, and I nodded negativity before my sister stood up and dragged me up with her
Kitty: Okay. Thank you so much for coming, everybody. This is my first Chuseok far from home and from what I gathered you are not supposed to do it alone. Maybe your family is thousands of miles away, like mine and Y/n's, or maybe you don't really have a family, or maybe you just really like school like my bookworm twin right here.
She said, and I smiled at her comment. I didn't love school, but I loved having good grades
Kitty: Whatever the reason, I am grateful that we all have somewhere to be today and for this chance to honor our ancestors. So here is a toast. To all of those who came before us. Thanks, Mom, wherever you are. Without you, we wouldn't be here, literally on this earth, or here at KISS and there is nowhere else I would rather be at this moment. Cheers!
She said, raising her glass, and everyone clapped with smiles on their faces. Then we both sat at the table and started eating. I only ate my sister's mashed potatoes and some other things that I made. Because I was scared that Minho forgot and put almonds in his recipes, and I didn't want to risk it and be sent to the hospital. Only a single almond can cost my life. After a while, Minho left for his date and Alex went next to Professor Lee, handing him the well-known Kitty's mashed potatoes to Professor Lee
