Chatper 19 ❥

It was the last game of season the game previous I could barely watch my team as they played on without me but I felt better about today I was ready to cheer my team on, ready to cheer my girlfriend on and ready for them to win

the loss of UEFA women's championship hadn't hit us particularly hard are wsl matches were going good no significant losses so I was happy with sitting on the sidelines knowing that my team were capable of winning without me but at the same time I was disheartened that they were really that ok without me

I was currently sat with my team in the dressing room waiting to be called out; the room had a light atmosphere to it everyone sort of felt quite liberated and excited it was the last game of a overall great season winning this match would just be the cherry on the cake

"Right everyone back out into the tunnel let's get ready to win this thing" Jonás said clapping his hands together as he came from behind the door

I quickly ended the conversation with the blonde beside me before i excused myself from the dressing room before the rest of them after wishing them good luck and made my way back onto the sidelines ready to watch my team play

Everyone had just come from within the tunnel and secured there places back on the pitch I felt the tension between my team and the other but I knew the determination my team had to win I had full hope;

Kick off had gone well no major incidents on either side but we were playing exceptionally well my eyes were trained on Leah as she ran up and down the Field, often times she would throw glances in my direction and I would return them with a smile letting her know I was cheering her on

I knew the silent encouragement was fuelling Leah as she became more present to the other team are possession on the ball was high which was good but seeing my team became more defensive around the ball was definitely what was needed

Half time had sounded and there had been no goals scored on either sides but It didn't seem to matter not being biased but arsenal was playing leaps and bounds better than the opposers we had a few goal scoring opportunities which were only barley blocked by the goal keeper and I knew that soon we'd be 1-0 up

I had gone into the dressing rooms and gave my fellow team mates a little pep talk they needed some motivation and I was more than happy to give it to them seeing as I had an outsiders perspective of the match as not being able to play it felt like my advice was being taken into account

My team shortly after we're called back to re start the match but while everyone else was piling out me and Leah stuck behind for a moment

"I know you can win this" i smiled taking her hands into to mine

"I know it's just weird not having you playing"

I chuckled "well don't miss me too much I'll be back before you know it"

"Yea I know you will how else are we supposed to be up 3-0 before half time" she said in a slight teasing way

"Ok well now you're just flattering me and with or without me you are capable of doing double that maybe just not this game" I shrugged teasingly as well

"You know what just for that comment alone I'm gonna score just to prove you wrong "

"Are you know" I giggled

"Yep and if I do I should get a reward"

"And what would that reward be"

"You have to give me a little celebratory kiss" she smirked
