Chapter 27 ❥

Yesterday had been a long and overly stressful day I had made some difficult decisions but I was now finally happy with the outcome, things had started to look up and i felt sort of excited

I had planned to meet alexia and some of the girls to catch up over coffee which would be nice since I hadn't seen them in a while I had missed the small things we'd do like this on breaks from football that seemed meaningless and however much it felt nostalgic it also felt like something i had to get prepared for like I had never done it before

Was I nervous?

I was looking into the long mirror that was situated in my living room that was pressed to the wall looking over my outfit the weather change was something I never really got used to and today was particularly hot so I had to go for the lightest thing I had packed with me which I was still most likely going to get hot in

I fixed up my hair so it fell nicely before grabbing a small bag to carry with me and left, given where I lived I didn't really need to drive anywhere everything was near by, it was maybe a ten minute walk to the coffee shop which I got to soon enough it was where we would regularly go for coffee when I lived in Barcelona

As I opened the door a little chime went off which had oddly made me smile at the familiarity of it I wondered through the reasonably big coffee shop till I heard the familiar laugh of my best friend I walked over to the table with an array of colourfully decorated chairs around it

"Look who it is" Patri was the first to say as she stood to embrace me in a hug which was followed by the hugs of all the girls

"Late as per usual Bella" alexia said playfully as I sat down

"You said meet at 2 it's-" I broke of my sentence to look at my watch "2:15" I said slowly realising that I was in-fact late

"It's okay Bella if makes you feel better Ingrid and mapi aren't even here yet" Lucy said

"Oh thanks for making me feel better about myself" I chuckled being a little sarcastic

"Any time" she said patting me on the back jokingly which made me laugh

We had been talking and laughing for a little while now Ingrid and mapi had arrived shortly after I did and I was happy to see them as I had a very good friendship with the two girls; the light atmosphere that flowed around the group of girls sat around me raised a warmth in my chest that I had been searching for in these past few weeks that I appreciated more than anything

"I think bellas return deserves a celebration" Aitana said sort of out of the blue

"I agree I have to say Bella party atmospheres aren't the same without you" Keira said agreeing with Aitana

"Fine but only something small I have important things to attend to tomorrow" I reminded

"Yea we know, it'll be nice though to do something now your back" alexia said

"Yea it will be so what are we thinking" I said sitting up more with anticipation on what they would suggest

The girls had come up with the idea of a game night I suggested it be at my apartment seeing it was big enough to accommodate the seven girls including myself so that's how we ended up scattered around my apartment bowls of snacks covering the coffee table, while mapi was stood up in-front of us all as we were playing charades
