Chapter 35

AURELIA

I turned to walk towards the driveway and garden and then out of the house.

"Another one of Zayn's conquests? Don't you know my brother doesn't like his girls dropping by at odd times or at all actually."

I cringed at his question and my entire composure changed. Turning back around to face this guy, I drew a quick breath to calm myself but it took all the effort I had. "I'm not his conquest and watch your words with me."

He chuckled trying to seem cool but the vein in his neck suggested he was anything but. "Wow, okay honey, I know you thought sleeping with your Zaddy meant he would give you the world but I would suggest you trap someone else and step out of my goddamn house before Shadow tears you to pieces."

His house. Ofcourse.

Blue eyes. Ruffled raven hair that refuses to sit down and a cocky attitude.

I didn't say anything. I just whistled. Loudly.

Right on cue, few seconds passed and Shadow ran past the guy and lurched on me. I ran my hands on his soft furs bending down and then straightened up to face the man who was now staring at me.

"Petty rich given that I had spent close to three months now with him."

The blue eyes that were Zander's twins glared at me. "Who are you?"

"I'm Aura. Nice to meet you too Titan. And I am not your brother's conquest." I met his glaring eyes.

"Jesus! He called you what?"

I careened my head to look past Titan's tall frame and found Melanie's jaw practically lying on floor. She was in shock.

Titan slapped his forehead and turned to face her mother. By the way his Adam's apple bobbed, I knew he was wishing to disappear on the spot.

"Titan Bridgewood, you apologize right now before I throw you out on the streets and disown you," Melanie yelled, so much that her voice shook.

"You should do that anyway, mum. What did he do,"- Zander stopped mid stairs and lowered his neck to see what was happening. Our eyes met and I waved a quite hello at him.- "Aura, what are you doing outside?" He hurried down the stairs and opened the gigantic door further, standing right in front of me.

Melanie folded her lips together for a moment and then said, "Your brother declared Aura as one of your conquest."

Zander's eyes widened dangerously and he turned to face Titan, who looked like a cornered puppy.

A sudden maternal instinct washed over me."Relax he was joking."

Muttering a curse under his breath, Zander regarded me silently for a minute before walking back to his room.

"Aura, I have no idea who you are but you might be my favorite person right now." Titan breathed a heavy sigh and walked back to the couch.

I chuckled and looked at Melanie whose eyes were still glaring at his son's back. I walked up to her.

"He is a son of a bitch," she complained.

"Son of a badass bitch." I gave her a teasing look.

She arched an eyebrow and then grinned. "Oh before you bury yourself in books, it's Zayn's birthday this Wednesday. Be there at six."

I shook my head and manage to mutter an okay before making my way to Zander's room.

"Aura, I'm really sorry okay. Really. My brother is a fucking idiot." Zander grabbed me by both the arms and made me sit at the edge of his bed. He kept shaking his head in disbelief as if to erase the incident downstairs.
