.Meira's POV.

My anger over the roof would be an understatement. After what Austin told me, I didn't utter a word to him. Simply, walked out of the building and went towards the garage. Austin got the idea and we drove home.

What am I? A 14-year-old teen who doesn't have the idea of money spending?

Austin let out a breath through his mouth and before he could utter a word I shut him down, "Say a syllable and I'm getting out of this car."

Austin didn't make any attempt to speak again.

I was glad for him to stay silent. I believed if I had to exchange any kind of words with Austin, I might say something that I may regret.

The car halted in our driveway and I instantly started to remove my seatbelt. I could feel Austin's eyes on me the entire time but I didn't pay much heed to him.

I got out of the car, shutting the car door and walked up to the house. I heard Austin's side of the car door open and slam close. The sound of him throwing the car keys at the security guard was the last thing I heard before his presence engulfed me.

I felt my entire body heat up. My hands in fists.

Martha opened the door and I plastered a fake smile to showcase.

"Oh, you two are back." She smiled at me and then it shifted at Austin. Austin returned it and walked inside the house first, with all the shopping bags in his hand.

"I thought you both would be late. You are early today, Meira." Martha's suspicious eyes narrowed at me. She knows I never return home early wherever I get a chance to spend my time outdoors or while shopping. Even if I don't shop much, I would always find a way to do something and come home late.

"I..." I tried to come up with an excuse, "My migraine started." I lied.

Now that I think, I'm starting to get one in actuality.

"Oh my," Martha gasped, "Do you need something? Should I get you the medicines?"

I smiled at her, "No need. I have a box upstairs in my room. I just need some rest."

Martha nodded. Austin spoke up, "I'll take this up to your room." He lifted the bags.

The bitterness starts to surge up, "No need. I'll take them."

I walk up to take the bag from him. He didn't bother lifting his arm and passing me neither did I care. I straight up took that from his hand. Our fingers brushed.

A shiver ran down my spine. I pressed my lips together to stop letting out a whimper.

Austin watched me, but I didn't dare to look up. I got hold of my bags and walked up towards my room.

I entered my room and closed the door, tossing the bags on my bed. I couldn't care less right now to set these clothes up in my closet. I'm way too frustrated.

I decided to change into something comfortable. After that, I removed all of my makeup and let down my hair from the ponytail I was wearing. I didn't care much about putting on any effort to look in front of Austin tonight.

    Yeah, I'm that pissed.

It was still early evening so I decided to get some snacks and watch TV in the living room.

I walked downstairs seeing Martha was in the kitchen. I walked past her smiling at her and started unloading my preferred snacks from the pantry.
