BREAKING: The Deputy Head of the Political Bureau of Hamas and founder of the Martyr Izz El-Din Al-Qassam Brigades, Sheikh Saleh Al-Arouri, has ascended to martyrdom at 57 years old in a cowardly zionist assassination in Dahye, Beirut, Lebanon. At least two others were martyred in the blast.

A freed prisoner who spent 18 years in zionist prisons, Arouri, from Arara in Ramallah, was instrumental in uniting the fields, galvanizing the escalating resistance in the West Bank, and establishing the Shalit prisoner exchange deal in 2011. He leaves behind a legacy of defiance and resilience, and an indelible influence on the regional resistance.

Glory to the martyrs.

🚨🇱🇧 Israel struck Hamas's office in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, causing an explosion that killed top Hamas leader Saleh Al-Arouri and two Hamas commanders. There are reports of a fourth unnamed casualty.

Al-Arouri was the deputy leader of Hamas's Political Bureau. He co-founded Hamas' military wing, the Qassam Brigades. He is deputy to Ismail Haniyeh, and heads operations in the West Bank.

The explosion destroyed nearby cars and set fire to the surrounding area. The area is a known Hezbollah stronghold. Unverified reports say it was a drone attack.

This marks by far the biggest escalation in Lebanon since Oct 7, after Hezbollah intervened against Israel along the Lebanese border to assist Gaza. While Hezbollah and Israel have been trading blows almost daily (except for during the truce), it has been restricted to the areas near the Lebanese border.

This outrageous Israeli attack is sure to change that.

In August 2023, martyr Sheikh Saleh Al-Arouri gave an interview while he faced escalating assassination threats, reaffirming the resistance's ability to expel the occupation and shut down its economy. He stated:

"The threat of assassinating the leaders of Hamas is not new to the occupation. Their project began with massacres, killings, displacement, and torture. Indeed, they assassinate martyrs from our people every day. And we, in Hamas, are part of this people.

We in Hamas are part of this people, and thus we get martyred like our people, we get arrested as they get arrested, our homes get demolished, and we are pursued and hunted. This is the unfortunate normal situation under the occupation. But also, we resist, chase, and fight because we are in the right.

We do not fear the threats of the occupation, and I feel that I have exceeded my default life. Martyrdom is welcome when it comes like the rest of those who preceded us. Mohammed Deif was threatened with assassination, but he will enter Al-Quds, Allah willing, with the occupation in the dustbins of history.
