double chocolate chip brownies!

I wake up to sunbeams on my face and look down to see I'm laying on soft white linen sheets and a mattress that feels like a massive warm marshmallow

I almost hum at the feeling

I look to the left to see Killian slumped in a chair, his head back and his eyes closed, he's so still

oh my god he's dead

I'm in a room with a dead body

I scream and fall off the bed

"AHH WHAT THE GUMMY BEARS"

I land on a soft rug with a groan

I feel myself getting picked up and placed back on the unusually tall, marshmallow bed

I place a hand on my racing heart

"fucking hell Belle are you okay what happened" a familiar deep voice rumbles

I open my eyes to see a very alive, but sleepy, Killian

my eyes widen and I look at the chair to see no one there

I let out a breath, glad that I'm not having a conversation with a ghost

"I thought you were dead" I giggle

"Are you okay? are you in pain? what hurts? are you hungry?"

"I'm fine. only a little. my back. I could really go for a brownie" I answer each question making him chuckle

his chuckle with a deep morning voice?

anywho...

"I'll ask Julio to make brownies and I'll give you some pain killers" he tells me and turns around to leave

"wait!" he stops and turns back around to face me again

"what happened and where am I? Also, who's Julio?" I question tilting my head

"your foster parents owed me money so we went to your apartment and found you passed out covered in blood, bruises and scars, you are currently in my bedroom at my workhouse and Julio is my chef" he says all in one breath

"ah.. okay cool cool cool no doubt no doubt no dooouubt" I give him an awkward smile

I mean the tall, hot man who takes care of me and gives unusually large tips knows that I get beat to the point I'm on the brink of death almost every day

He puts his large hand around my neck, completely covering it as he tilts my head up so I'm looking at him again

He gives me an understanding smile "It's okay flower, let's go and get brownies yes?"

"yes please" he takes his hand off my neck, which I weirdly liked having there, and helps me off the bed by my waist

I look down at my clothes and scrunch my face up. I see a black button-up shirt that comes down to the top of my kneecaps instead of my blue pj shorts and t-shirt

"don't worry the nurse bathed you and put you in my shirt"Kill tells me seeing my confused face

"ohh okay"

I can feel the sports bra and boy shorts underwear underneath so I know I'm not naked which is a plus, even though I have no clue whose underwear I'm wearing which is kind of weirding me out

oh well what can you do

"come on angel" Kill starts walking out of the room and I do the same looking around at everything in awe
