I wake up, groggy, and open my tired eyes to see Killian looking down at me silently
"erm hello," I say awkwardly, just above a whisper
he's eyes soften and he strokes my cheek with his thumb
"Il mio angelo perfetto, così bella"
(my perfect angel, so beautiful)
my eyes widen slightly
that was hot
I have no clue what it means.. but it was still very hot
I don't even bother asking what he said
I don't think he was even talking to me
he looked in a daze, his pupils wide
"Are you okay?"
"why wouldn't I be" I furrow my eyebrows
his face softens further "Baby you killed two people last night"
"I told you that I would kill to keep my children safe and that's exactly what I did, I have no empathy for those people"
"Are you not proud of me?" I continue sadly
"no no no baby I am so proud of you" I pecks my lips "So so proud" he leans his forehead against my own
"It's okay not to be okay though my angel"
"I know but I am .. right now. If that changes I'll tell you"
he sighs and nods, pulling his head from mine "Okay baby, thank you"
he kisses my lips again before kissing my stomach and whispering "La mia bambina"
"I should learn Italian," I tell him
he raises his eyebrows at me
"then we can teach it to Carlo and the baby and I'll know what's going on"
he chuckles "I'll teach you Italian baby"
"but your busy I'll get a tutor"
"I'm never too busy for you flower" he kisses me "but I will get you a tutor because I'm not a very good teacher"
I laugh at him before my face drops
he lifts me onto his lap and strokes my hair "Hey what's wrong?" he asks softly
I look into his eyes as tears brim in mine "Does everyone think I'm an awful person?"
"oh my little princess, almost everyone down there has killed more people than you no one thinks you are an awful person I promise"
"but I'm a 19-year-old girl and pregnant, it's different than 30-year-old mafia men" I shake my head
"well I'm not 30 yet but you're upset so I'll let that slide" he says making me giggle
he holds me closer to him and kisses my head "Everything you just described about yourself makes what you did so much more amazing, as far as I know, everyone respects you more if that's even possible" I snuggle into him more "We're a family baby, we love each other and that will never change"
