Hello there! :D

Today we are looking at Wendolyn Antigone Hepplewhite, an OC sent in by @ScrapMetalFlower and yeah. That would be it, so let's dive in!

(rules as always; scientific questions, bookscience, chronological order)

~W. A. Hepplewhite, The Baroness of Blood~

First of all: what a title. What fandom is she from again? ... a Harry Potter OC. Well, that certainly will be a thing

~Quote~

Oh neat, I didn't see a quote in any of the previous reviews

"There is an unspoken beauty in the darkness."

Poetic. Did she say that or from where do these words originate?

~Name~

What's your thing with the ~? To make things seem more gothic?

Wendolyn Antigone Hepplewhite

that sounds like a really old name. but good!

~Nickname~

Wendy - Nickname shortened from her given name, Wendolyn

Wow, couldn't have guessed.

Little Lamb - By her elder brother. It was a childhood nickname done as a playful way for him to tease his little sister

... I mean, it really is a... unflattering name. But on the other hand, older siblings do be like that

My Rose - By her ex-fiancé, who turned her into a vampire and left her for dead

What is it with vampires I wonder. I can't tell, but it feels like they are the majority of the OCs I've had to review (the most would be humans, but still. What is it with all these vampires?)

Also how do you leave someone for dead if they are turned into a vampire? I mean, technically they would be dead, but this indicates that they actually were to die, like the way humans usually die when drained of their blood

~Name meaning(s)~

Wendolyn - White circle

I'll have to trust you on that one, as it is late right now and I'm not willing to invest too much time in getting information about names right now.

Antigone - Worthy of one's parents

As in Antigone, the daughter of that one Greek dude from some book (I think its "spinoff" is written by Goethe)?

Hepplewhite - (as far as I can tell) Clearing by a plank bridge

I think it sounds more like some sort of apple. But good, you did your homework!

~Name Origin~

May I ask why you did this separately? You could've done something like: Wendolyn is an English variant of the welsh name Gwendolyn and means "white circle". At least that's how I do it

Wendolyn - English variant of the Welsh, Gwendolyn.

ok

Antigone - Greek origin, the daughter of Oedipus according to Greek mythology.

Ha, I knew it!

Hepplewhite - Derivative of Hebblethwaite. English (Yorkshire)

Wow. Old English never fails to amaze me
