It has been a month since the mysterious boy started coming to the farm to help Wang. Despite his anonymity and silence, his assistance has been invaluable. He effortlessly tends to animals, plants, and repairs, making Wang workload lighter.

"You still won't tell me your name?" Wang asks, as they sit down under the hut on the farm, hoping to break the silence that surrounds them.

"I will tell you soon," the boy smiles, his eyes twinkling with mystery. Wang can't help but wonder what secrets lie behind that enigmatic smile. However, for now, he is grateful for his presence and help on the farm.

Can I follow you home to know where you live and meet your family? Wang asked.

"I'm sorry," the boy says, his smile fading into a frown. "My parents are no longer with us." However, he adds, "I have a brother, but he's currently out of town. You will meet him soon."

"Oh, I'm sorry about your parents," Wang says sympathetically, reflecting on his own loss. "Mine are late too." His eyes soften, and the boy nods in understanding.

Why do you always stare at me? Wang asked, uncomfortable under his piercing gaze. It was a question he'd been thinking about since he walked in on him and Xie that night.

"You were the first person I saw in years," he said, his voice soft and soothing. "And you have a beautiful face," he added, with a hint of admiration in his eyes.

Wang blushed at the compliment, unsure of what to say. He had never considered himself beautiful before. Sure, he received compliments in the past, but they usually focused on his intelligence. This was the first time someone complimented his appearance aside from his grandmother.

"I am a man. I am handsome, not beautiful," Wang said, laughing self-consciously. He wasn't sure if the boy was joking or not, but he couldn't help but tease him. It was an attempt to divert his attention away from him.

"Well, I wouldn't be so sure about that," the boy replied, raising an eyebrow. He leaned closer, his voice barely whispering. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I find you incredibly appealing."

Wang must admit, his words caught him off guard. However, he remained firm in his decision. "I appreciate the sentiment," Wang replied, maintaining a polite yet distant tone.

I would like you to meet Xie and my grandmother in person. Our wedding is in two weeks, and I can't help but feel anxious. You see, I have no friends in the village. All of them live in towns or cities. I'm not even sure they will attend, but it would mean the world to me if you could be my best man. Wang said, dismissing his earlier comment.

Wang notices a change in his face as he talks to him. His smile faded, replaced by a disdainful and displeased expression. This sudden change in demeanor caught Wang off guard, and he paused for a moment, unsure of what to say.

"Why do you want to get married to her?" he asks, his voice dripping with venom. His question hangs in the air, tainting the excitement and joy that filled Wang's heart just moments before.

"I want to get married to Xie because she brings immense joy and love into my life," Wang replied calmly, refusing to let the boy's negativity affect him. "She is the person I want to spend the rest of my life with, and I believe that our love can overcome any challenges that come our way."

"Why are you angry?" Wang asked, hoping to understand his sudden change in demeanor and address any concerns or issues.

What about your mate? I'm sure she is not your mate. The boy asked.

"She is not my mate, but she is my partner in every sense of the word," Wang replied, his voice filled with conviction. "We support and uplift each other, and we are committed to building a life together based on love, trust, and mutual respect. I understand if you have reservations or doubts, but I hope you will see and appreciate the love we share."

The boy said, getting impatient, "You don't feel anything between us, do you? The moment I saw you, I knew you were my mate. I felt it."

Wang took a deep breath, choosing his words carefully. "I understand that you may have felt a spark between us, but I don't share the same romantic feelings. I value our friendship and would like to continue it, but my heart is already committed to Xie, and I hope you find your own happiness."

I told you we were mates, and you're still talking about her. The boy growled.

"I appreciate your feelings, but I cannot reciprocate them. Xie is the one who holds my heart, and I hope you can understand and respect that."

"It took Wang a few minutes to understand what the boy was saying. Mate? We can't be mates. As far as I am concerned, I do not feel anything toward you. Wang murmurs.

From the moment I laid eyes on you, I knew you were my mate. There was something magnetic about you that instantly captivated my heart. I had never felt this way about anyone before, and I was completely drawn to you. There is something so alluring and irresistible about you that I couldn't help but be swayed by you. The boy said, getting close to Wang, but Wang stood up and stepped back.

When we met, I was extremely hungry, but it took all of my self-control not to drain your blood. I wouldn't spare you if you weren't my mate. The boy growled. Scaring Wang.

Werewolves don't drain blood, Wang thought, but fear washed over him as he suddenly realized the truth - he is a vampire. Wang's heart raced as he jumped back, almost falling before he steadied himself.

The boy stood up and approached Wang cautiously, his eyes filled with concern. "Please don't worry," he said, his voice soothing. "I promise I won't hurt you."

"Wang's instincts screamed at him to run but he stayed. I must warn you," Wang whispered, his voice barely audible. "If anyone finds out about this, they will kill us. You're putting both of us in grave danger."

"You have my word," the boy said confidently, his gaze unwavering. "I've kept this secret for centuries, and I will do everything to protect you. I won't let anything happen to you."

"I'm sorry, but I'm in love with Xie," Wang said, tears welling up in his eyes. "I need to return home." Wang turned and walked away, leaving the vampire behind.

Wait, my name is Zhan, and I am a hybrid. He confidently states, "You are my mate. I am in love with you, and I always get what I want."
