Abnormal Love Part 1: Meeting Steven

                                         Intro
Maroon is a seventeen year old gem hybrid, his mother, Almandine, a gem made to be the general of one of Yellows armies. However she saw the elegance and grace on earth and wanted to be free like the ones who lived there. So she made her own life, which led to Maroon. P.S. In this AU Steven never fully healed from his corruption and still has horns and sharp teeth, along with claw like nails. He's also grumpy all the time, like most teens.

Maroon stood from their seat on the bus, trying to shake off the five hours of bus, sleep, and contemplation. They grabbed their backpack and walked down the aisle looking at the door to see bright sunlight. "Wow it's bright here" They thought to themselves. They stepped out and slowly adjusted to the bright light, then looked down at the beach with beautiful water and perfect sands. "Beach city? Nooo I thought this was going to be a desert town" They think to themselves sarcastically. I'm too much, they chuckle and keep walking. Eventually they find boardwalk and see a bunch of gems walking around. "I didn't know there was other gems here" they liked around in awe. Then find a flier for pizza delivery. "This could come in handy" they say to themselves while grabbing one of the phone number tags and putting it in their bag. Before turning around to see a boy not much older than him standing right behind him. "Hi" Maroon said awkwardly. "Hey, you look new. Can you move? you-" He started to say before seeing the gem on your chest "Wait. Are you a hybrid?" He asked looking slightly happy to meet Maroon. "Yeah, are you? Or do you just want to make fun of me?" Maroon asked thinking back to elementary school. He lifted his shirt slightly over the gem on his stomach "You've never heard of me? Steven Universe?" He asked looking slightly confused. "I'm sorry, should i have?" Maroon blushed since Steven was still so close to his face. "Oh sorry" Steven said while stepping back. "Well yes you should have I saved the galaxy from tyranny" he replied to my earlier question braggingly. "Well okay Mr savior of the galaxy, I should go get this job because not everyone gets to do what you do" Maroon nudged Steven and walked to the pizza shop, and heard footsteps coming towards him. "Leaving so soon? Thought we could exchange numbers" He said pulling out his phone. "I guess" Maroon said as he pulled out his own phone and they swapped them. Steven took a selfie and saved himself into his new friend's phone. While Maroon just used some random photo from a show. When he got his phone back Steven was saved as "Mr. Savior of the galaxy" he just laughed and looked up at Steven who was walking away. Then went inside the pizza shop.
