Everything happens in slow motion. A girl screams from the back seat, there's a blinding flash of white light followed by a huge crunch, everything goes black.
I wake covered in sweat, tangled in the sheets, the nightmare of that fatal car crash replaying in my head as it does every night, like the image is stuck on repeat. I untangled myself and sat on the end of my bed, sweating from fear.
The car crash was a traumatising experience for me that would never go away and constantly continued to effect me. People glared at me as headed out towards school, it painfully reminded my of the day I woke up in hospital, with two broken legs, one kidney and my whole family staring at me.
