Its about a 16-year old girl named Raine. In this story, when Raine turns 16 she turns into one of the Watchers. The Watchers are a group of people who can read minds and send telepathic messages to the mind. The most popular group at school are Watchers. The popular group invite Raine to join them. She says yes and Cameron teaches Raine how to use her powers. Raine learns them at such speed that no other Watcher has done before. Raine and Cameron fall in love. The purpose of the Watchers is that they keep watch for their gods in heaven. They keep watch for any attacks from the Unwanted, A group of Watchers gone bad. One day one of their own, Demetri, turn on them while the Watchers are completely unprepared. The Unwanted are back and the Watchers must stop them from reaching their gods.
