This is probably the most important one bc when someone is suicidal and you kno them it's hard and u don't kno what to do. When you're suicidal, you're in so much pain and you want it to go away. You don't want help but you need it. And it's hard to get help. First ima do how to help someone then how to help yourself (both in this chapter)
How to help someone: Ask if they are. Say you are concerned. Let them know you're there for them. And mean it. Don't just leave them when you said you were going to help. Listen and be sympathetic.
DONT argue or act shocked. Avoid saying things like: "you have so much to live for", "suicide will hurt ur family," "look on the bright side" DONT promise to keep it secret. They need help! And DO NOT BLAME YOURSELF. You can't fix them. It's not your responsibility, your job is to just help.
ASK:
Do you have a suicide plan?
Do you have what you need to do it?
Do you know when you would do it?
Do you intend to take your own life?
Level of suicide risk:
Low- suicidal thoughts. No plan or saying he/she will do it.
Moderate- plan isn't lethal. Suicidal thoughts. Says he or she won't do it.
High- suicidal thoughts. Lethal plan. Says he or she won't do it.
Severe- suicidal thoughts. Specific plan that is lethal. Says she or he will attempt suicide.
If it's dangerous call 911 or a suicide hotline and remove anything they could use: (but be careful about calling the police. They are known to not react well to mental health crisis)

HOW TO HELP YOURSELF : get help. It's hard but you can try:
A suicide hotline-1-800-273-8255 or www.suicidepreventionlifeline.org
Remove whatever that can harm you. Get away from anything that could hurt you. This will but you time to think and calm down. If you're drunk and suicidal, have someone else take those things away.
Turn to other activities. Sleep, take a shower, bike, run, draw, sing, do chores, listen to music, read ect.
The site: https://www.thehopeline.com/what-to-do-when-you-feel-suicidal also has some sites and hotlines you can use.
REMEMBER: there are sights, sounds and expirences that would delight you and you would miss it.
Remember Your emotions will change. How you feel today may change tomorrow.
There are so many things you can accomplish.
Also:
Promise not to do anything drastic
Avoid drugs and alcohol
Don't keep thoughts to yourself. It's hard and it might feel scary or embarrassing, but it will be worth it. Personally, I've had suicidal thoughts before and self harm attempts and I noticed I was depressed. I began to think it wasn't normal to feel like that and I wanted to stop. I got help and so can you. Talk to a sibling, parent, cousin, friend-internet or real life who you trust, another family member, girlfriend, boyfriend, teacher, coach, counselor, or someone at the end of a helpline.

HAVE HOPE - people do get through it. Suicidal thoughts. Depression. Anxiety. Self harm. Anything. I know some people who thought of suicide and self harmed but they overcame it. Even one of my Internet friends attempted it, and when my teacher noticed I had anxiety I went to a group and met a girl there who said she attempted it. You. Can. Overcome. It. Even pop star Demi Lovato, who had a drug and alcohol addiction, bipolar disorder, self harmed, and had anorexia and bulimia went into rehab for 3 months and she overcame it. She said:
