Bella's Sister

Chapter Five

After they dropped Juliette off at Paul's house in his sisters care, they went to the Lapush Iceskating rink. It was small but big enough for hockey. "Are you sure you want to do this? I mean after you haven't skated in a while." Paul's aid nervously, honestly he wasn't expecting Lexi to say yes so easily. Lexi smiled, it was obvious that Paul didn't know how to skate and was trying to get Lexi to say she didn't want to. "Oh no I'll be just fine" Lexi smiled and walked over to the rentals. There was a kid working the counter. It was Embry Call, Paul packmate. "Wow Paul didn't know you were much a ice skater" Embry said laughing as the pair reached the counter. "Wow Embry didn't know you were so pathetic you had to get a job here" Paul said glaring. "Hey man at least I don't look like you" Embry said with a shrug. "What size do you need doll face?" Embry asked winking. "Seven youth" she replied.  "And a oversized pair to match your ego" Embry replied to the pair . Lexi giggled, Paul could feel a pang of jealousy in his chest. "And whoms name shall I put these under" Embry asked Lexi. "Lexi" she replied, "oh your, Lexi" Embry said tapping his fingers on the  counter.

"Alright man, we'll take these and get out of your hair" Paul said grabbing the skates and running off dragging Lexi. Embry was laughing out of his mind. "She he's your friend" Lexi giggled, "friend, yes dead, also yes" Paul said smiling. Lexi laughed, she took off her shoes and did her skates up. Once she and Paul were done they walked over to the ice. "Are you ready to do this " Lexi asked more for his sake then hers. "No" Paul replied quickly. "Aw it's not hard" Lexi said stepping onto the ice. She did it effortlessly, "you make it look so easy" Paul whined. "Come on you big baby" Lexi said grabbing his hand and pulling him. He fell forward and made him step on the ice. He immediately fell down, she gasped. "I am so sorry I didn't mean to do that" "it's fine really." Paul said laughing.  "Here let me help you, we can take it slow." She said. He got back up by himself. She held out her hand, he took it.

Her small cold pals hand, fit perfectly into his large warm tan ones. It's like they were made for each other. They felt the connection too. Lexi slowly pulled Paul along with herself. "See it's not that bad?" Lexi smiled. "Not with you it's not" he said smiling, Lexi blushed even more the she already was because of the cold.  "Now take this and start having guys slam into you over a life of rubber" she laughed. Paul lighted along with. "Tell me something about yourself" Paul said. She was skating backward holding onto him. "What do you want to know?" She asked tilting her head to the side. "Everything. We'll start there and see where that takes us" He smiled.

Paul only fell down rice more that night. After they were down ice skating together they went out for some ice cream. Sadly Paul had to cut it short because he had to run patrol in a hour and still had to take her back to his house to pick up Juliette and change clothing. When they were about to turn to his street she grabbed his hand. "Thank you so much for tonight. It really means a lot to me." Lexi said kissing his cheek. Paul just blushed and turned into his driveway. "I'll got in and get Juliette." Lexi said rushing to get her. Paul couldn't help but put his hand on the place her lips had left. Lexi came back a minute later with Juliette and a diaper bag. She clicked the baby back into the seat. Paul got out of her car. She stood in front of him. "You looked great tonight." He said kissing her cheek. He tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear. "I'll see you on Monday beautiful" Paul whispers in her ear. He tucked a slip of paper into her back pocket. Without saying anything else he walked back into the house. But of course not before turning around and winking at the girl. Lexi sighed and got I her car. She couldn't help but feel the place where his lips left, just as he had done minutes earlier in the same spot. Both of the teens seemed to be taking the same effect on each other.

For Lexi it was nice to feel loved again, rather then played. For Paul it was nice for him to finally be with a girl who wasn't easy or just another one of the girls who's wants to go it just so she could say she did it.

Lexi drove back to her home with a smile. She parked the car and grabbed her baby and the bag. She walked into the front door. "I'm home" she called though she knew her father was at work and Bella wouldn't respond. Lexi walked silently into her bedroom she quickly got changed into some comfier clothing, she changed Juliette's diaper and put her into some pajamas. She set her daughter into the crib and tucked herself into bed. She was about to fall asleep when she remember the little note in her back pocket. She jumped out of bed and quickly dug into her jeans. Lexi unfolded it and read the note. "Don't hesitate to  call ;) 999-999-9999" she smiled and out the number in her phone. "Good night Paul" she texted him. He replied back right away. "Goodnight Princess." Lexi smiled and feel into a stir less sleep.
