prologue: The new kid

Ravens pov

It was a normal day in class me and my team were on our way to our next class.

Qrow: So did you guys do the homework from yesterday?

Taiyang: fuck no dude me and raven were to busy having movie night.

Raven: Yup.

Summer: whatever dont come crying to me when the both of you are failing this class.

Raven: whatever summer.

All 4 of us walk into the class and sit down in the front row. Class then starts like normal. But just then the teacher speaks up

Teacher: students may i have your attention for a few minutes?

All of us look at the teacher wondering what she wants.

Teacher: we have a new student today joining us today. I would like you all to meet leo hex.

Just then a man with black and silver hair walks into the room. His eyes are a dark purple. He looks up at us before speaking.

Leo: H-hiya i-im leo hex....i hope we can all get along.

Teacher: Leo would you please take a seat behind miss branwen.

The teacher points to me and leo nods. He walks past me and sits down in the open seat behind me. Eventually class ends and everyone starts to head to lunch. As we are walking qrow sees the new kid sitting alone.

Qrow: hey isn't that the new kid?

Summer: yeah it is.

Qrow: maybe i should go and talk ti him.

Summer: ill join you.

Summer and qrow grab there lunches and walk over to the new kids table.

Leos pov

I was sitting there enjoying the peace and quiet when all of the sudden i felt someone tap me on the shoulder.

Leo: hmm?

I turn around to see a girl in white standing there. I also see a guy with black hair and some facial hair.

White cloak girl: hiya im summer rose.

Black haired guy: and im qrow branwen.

They both smile at me. So i smile back.

Leo: Nice to meet you im leo hex.

Qrow: so leo why are you sitting all by yourself?

Leo: Simple i dont know anyone why else do you think i would sit by myself?

Summer: Well you can come sit with us if you want.

Leo: no im ok i dont wanna bother you and your team.

Summer: none sense come on ill introduce you.

Summer grabs my arm and practically drags me over to her lunch table. She sits me down in front of the 2 other members of her team and smiles.

Summer: guys meet leo hex. Leo meet raven and taiyang.

Raven looks up at me and gives me a glare. So i glare back at her.

Taiyang: nice to meet you im taiyang xiao long.

I smile and shake his hand. After that i start to eat my food. But as im eating summer starts talking to me.

Summer: so leo what weapons do you have?

Leo: 2 daggers and a katana.

Qrow: oh really raven uses a katana too.

I glance at raven and she glaces at me too but she just glares at me not saying a word to me.

Summer: So are you any good with your katana?

Leo: no i much prefer my knives. Belive it or not i only know basic katana moves.

Summer: wait really?!

Leo: yup.

I sigh as i look down a little embarrassed.

Summer: well what about your knives?

I smile when she asks about my knives.

Leo: well you will just have to wait and see.

Summer: awww come on please?

Leo: nope sorry.

Qrow: well since your not that good with a katana maybe raven could give you some pointers.

Raven: what?! I never agreed to this.

Leo: no thats ok qrow ill figure it out on my own.

Qrow: aww come on raven this would be good for the both of you

Raven: yeah no im good.

Qrow: what are you chicken?

Raven slowly gets angery as she grabs qrow by his collar.

Raven: no im not chicken and to prove it i will train him.

Leo: dont i get a say in this?!

Raven: No! Meet me tomorrow at the training grounds. Dont be late.

Raven glares at me as she sits back down and eats her lunch more.
