"The last pair has been formed, sir." glynda informs ozpin
"Nora Valkyrie and Lie Ren. Poor boy... I can't possibly imagine those two getting along. Still, he's probably better off than Miss Nikos. I don't care what his transcripts say. That Jaune fellow is not ready for this level of combat." glynda says looking at the feed of rock following pyrrha and jaune
"though it appears we have been misinformed about the number of students, while it does appear the last pair has been made there is still a single student without a partner... " glynda informs ozpin who raised an eye brow
"yes... Mr. Light" ozpin says
"well I could always make an exception, with his overwhelming power he could easily be a supporting member...." ozpin says as he looks at the footage of ruby and weiss as they rest and look for directions
"I guess we'll find out soon enough. At their current pace, they should reach the temple within just a few minutes. Speaking of which, what did you use as relics this year?" glynda asks which she gets silence in return
Jaune and Pyrrha are standing at the mouth of a dark cave as rock walked around inspecting it
"Think this is it?" jaune asked pyrrha as they walked inside the cave with rock behind them
"I'm not sure this is it." pyrrha replied
"Pyrrha, I made the torch. Could you at least humor me for, like, five more feet?" jaune asked sighing
Jaune trips dropping the torch on the floor into a puddle extinguishing it, The two look around in total darkness until they look toward where rock should be and they see his eyes glowing
"rock?" jaune asked
"wait! Do you feel that?" pyrrha asked
"soul crushing regret and confusion about my friend's glowing eyes?" jaune asked
"No, it's... warm." pyrrha responded
Jaune and Pyrrha continue onward through the cave, with rock still confused about his eyes, until they see a large glowing point of gold right in front of them, illuminating Jaune's excited features.
"That's the relic!" jaune says as he reaches for it, the glowing object moved out of jaune reach "Hey! Bad... relic!" jaune tries to get it again, then jumps forward and hangs onto it as the object raises him above the ground "Gotcha!"
"jaune...?" pyrrha asked worried as rock had already started slowly walking backwards
Jaune's catch lowers itself so he is dangling right in front of the now-glowing red lines and eyes of a monster
Rock and pyrrha started running toward the entrance of the cave with the monster following

"Help! Whoa-ah-ah-ah-ah! Why?! Pyrrha! Rock! He-e-e-elp! Pyrrha, this is not the relic! It's not!" jaune says while sobbing "Do something!"
"Jaune! Whatever you do, don't let-" pyrrha tried saying but was stopped when the monster hurls its tail back and launches a still-screaming Jaune across the forest as she watches in dismay "... go."
Rock quickly chose one of the weapons in his list named 'thunderbolt', changing his outward color from a green and yellow to a blue and yellow
He aimed his cannon towards the monster and fired, only for the blast to hit the monster and split sending a small blast to the ground and to the sky. The monster only received a large scorch mark on the white part of its head which appeared to be made of a stronger material
Rock turned to pyrrha who smiled embarrassed before nodding her head to the side and started running
